This set of nylon cap nuts is perfect if you’re like me and have many things with exposed bolt ends. Under benches and workshop tables, or on miscellaneous projects, nylon caps are great for protecting yourself. I just find the right fit from the well-organized case and hand-tighten them on. That's all it needs if you are just doing it for aesthetic or safety reasons.I wouldn’t really use nylon caps for anything structural, since these are weaker than metal. Also, the metal ones are already pretty cheap anyway. For the reasons I gave above, I think this is a great product. I also think the value for the variety set is fair, so I think the product deserves a good rating.

One of the unique properties of nylon nuts, is that when used in conjunction with nylon bolts they tend to resist loosening.I usually use nylon nuts and bolts to attach license plates on motorcycles, where engine vibration can be an issue. In fifty years of using them in this way! I have never had any problems with them coming loose.When these arrived I was actually getting ready to attach some handguards to my Honda, and decided to switch from steel nuts and bolts to nylon, so this were right on time when I needed them.Just to be certain, I added a drop of superglue to each acorn nut. If need be I can always grind the head of the bolt off, but in the meanwhile I have a very secure attachment and the acor caps ensure that nothing will rub on my knuckles.Dozens of uses, and plenty of caps to choose from!

These nylon nuts are over all good for covering exposed screws tips. I wouldn't trust this type of material to hold parts together but this does screw on perfectly fine.Only drawback I saw was the flashing from the mold injection, which leaves a line. It's not terrible, but just wanted to point out it is visible.
