I regularly have to replace the basket liners in my hanging baskets on the patio. The coconut coir liners deteriorate and look ugly in a short time. I'm trying this non woven felt liner to see if it holds up better than the natural coir. So far it's looking good. I've watered them several times and so far no change. The liner doesn't swell or shed.

I recently used felt to replace a coconut liner and so far so good. What I like about this product is that I can cut it to size with less waste than using the pre-cut felt products. I have different size baskets and this style--a roll--allows cutting to fit those different sizes. Btw, another thing about felt vs coconut is that it holds the water better and doesn't age like coconut which looks ratty after a year or so.

Needed this liner for my pots and it works great! I needed to line some of my planter pots and make some trays for some of my new plants. I ordered this liner material and when it came in I used it right away. I had ordered some like this before so I was pretty certain that this was going to work just fine and it works great, no complaints here at all.😁🪴🪴🪴🥰

This arrived around Christmas and I haven't been able to use it yet. I plan to use it first thing once the weather warms up. I have always loved these coconut liners and this one feels like a really good one.

I'm looking forward to using this felt liner material in my planters come spring. But right out of the box, this material seems sturdy and well made. Definitely worth trying!

I got this to create small planting areas along a creek. The soil is loose from recent excavation, so I’m hoping this will help keep everything in place until some thick roots take hold. We’ve had some light rain and so far it’s held. The creek itself is below the level of the plantings; but there is light runoff that the garden areas will have to handle. I’ve anchored the fabric with plenty of decorative rocks. This fabric cuts easily with kids’ scissors; I’ve cut it in half lengthwise, so my planting borders are 8” high. It is thick and easy to grasp, with just the right amount of stiffness to anchor the soil, but it bends easily to shape into curves. The fabric is almost waterproof, so I’ve lined only the sides of the planting areas (leaving the bottom unlined), to prevent drowning of the plants during heavy rains, and also (hopefully) allow deep roots to grow... This fabric is fun to work with, I keep coming up with new shapes to try and it has handled them all. I’m not positive whether this particular type of fabric is biodegradable; if it is, again I hope that my plantings will establish strong roots and become permanent residents of the creek area.

I use these to line my tall standing planters as well as wire handing planters. I also cut this into little discs to put at the bottom of my flower pots. If you have ever used a fabric grow bag, this is the same material. It is a thick durable felt made is synthetic materials that doesn't fall apart or break down. My favorite thing about using this material is it drains well and very little soil if and all all escapes. It prevents soil loss. I can decorate my deck and patio area to my hearts content with live plants and hanging planters and I don't have soil run off staining and dirtying the floor when I water my plants.
