Prevents sunburn on my horses pink nose. A bit messy to put on but works well. Also keep the skin nice and soft.

I love this. You get a lot for the price too. This is the only thing helped relieve redness. It will last for months too. It's not a time tube either. LOVE LOVE IT

I buy this because I bristle at the cost of ZnO microparticulate sunblock. This ointment, if it's from a lot that's ground fine, forms a sealed invisible layer over skin that blocks sun in FL. It actually works better for me than products sold as sunblock, and the tub lasts two years for me with no sunburn. Also, it doesn't cause tearing in my eyes (I put it on my face and elsewhere and rub in well).The Zinc may also help to deter some skin pathogens, and the anti-drying petrolatum base is very goopy but effective against dry skin for me.one star off because price is going up and particle size seems to be bigger (more visible).

Turns out I'm allergic to this, but I gave it to my neighbors who have a toddler still in diapers.It is wonderfully thick and creamy and I did not notice any unpleasant odor. I think my reaction to it is due to a topical allergy I have to metal.
