To activate pulse mode, move the physical switch that allows the laser pendulum to be free. Now hit the middle power button and select what appears to be the dimmer of the two brightness levels. Now you are in pulse mode and receivers will acknowledge it. (It doesn’t appear to pulse.. just looks dimmer)Hours wasted to figure this out. You are welcome.Side note- small aluminum scissor jack leveling plate is a nice accessory. Will test accuracy now that I know how to bring it to life (with a pulse)

Got this as part of redoing my kitchen backsplash and found it to be pretty useful. Its sturdy enough for your average home use, probably not a construction site tool. The batteries last many hours on a single charge, which I found surprising. Glad I got this tool. Comes with more accessories that I know what to do with, but a tripod. I have used my camera tripod with this and it screws in normally and I would recommend using one with this for your best experience.For the most part one horizontal line and one vertical line are the one's I have mostly used. I found that the lowerbottom line is mostly useful if you need a line just off the floor or somewhere really low.

Exceptional quality. Instructions are not great but are generally adequate. Line visibility is good enough except in direct bright sunlight. Repeatability is very good. The horizontals do not wander and come back to the exact horizon every time. The verticals are a little difficult to verify but are as accurate as a bubble level. It comes with a LOTs mounting options, basically everything imaginable but a tripod. It comes with a just OK form fitted carrying case. Two, count them, two batteries and a charger. Nice plus. The instructions say it has to be within 3deg of vertical for it to self level. It me it seems to me to have a self leveling range of more than just 3deg. It is very easy to get it to get within the self level range.Durability and longevity have not yet been tested. If anything comes up the review will be revised.All that for less than $70 before the current discount. The batteries were made in China but I could not find anything about the unit itself. This is a prime example of why you can't buy tools made in the USA at a reasonable price.

i like this laser level and for the price its good value. lower laser is about 1/4 off the ground which is nice for lower work, (place on adjustable mount to raise (included). this comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. the remote is great. can lock the level line in place, can change from indoor/outdoor visibility with click of button. has many different accessories to position and mount level. for the price i am happy. the 'instructions' are not great. but holding the 'out' button (outdoor, higher line visibility) for 2 seconds (long press) locks the level to tilt it. you can turn off all the lines (save battery) by continuing to click thru both horizontal and vertical buttons till they are all gone.

I have been remodeling my 1980s home and this laser has been great for big tasks like installing new subway backsplash, as well as simpler tasks like hanging picture frames.The battery life is great and lasts me long enough to complete a long job, especially with the 2 included rechargeable batteries. The laser is dimmable and has a remote to help you adjust it without needing to physically touch it and move your position.The kit is high quality and comes with lots of accessories like a leveling stand and a remote. This laser is powerful and performant enough to do professional and DIY homeowner work, and for the price it cant be beat.

I like this laser lever so much that I get mad when thinking about the projects I struggled and completed in the past because they would have been so much easier with this laser level. First it is super easy to use, the self-leveling part is just that, turn it on and it will shoot out level lines. Pick it up or readjust it, it will self level with out you having to do anything in 2 seconds. The lines are super bright, had no issues seeing them in a bright room, with large windows during the day. It also comes with a large amount of accessories in a large padded case (with the padding custom fit to each component). It comes with a wall mount, a magnet mount, a fixed mini tripod stand, a stand the raises and lowers in small precise amounts by using a turning knob, a target plate, 2 batteries, a battery charger, and a remote. I have only used two of the accessories so far, as just screwing the level onto a tripod works for 95% of projects I am going to use it for but I love that I have tons of options for situations that arise where a tripod won't work. The price is great and having one of this tools should be a must in my opinion for every homeowner.

1) The lasers are not plumb and after a couple of uses there were additional lines around the main vertical and horizontals2) Build quality smacks of cheap plastic3) A bunch of completely useless accessories. I used my tripod most of the time because auto level only works +-4 °!!4) The construction of the mounting screw and bracket make it difficult to mount on a tripod that has a spring load (like most tripods). The bracket gets stuck on the spring load mechanism.5) The instruction manual is just terrible and poorly translated6)The cases is good and I have to make sure that the battery charges fully...so far the battery lasted just for 20 mins of useSo careful when you buy6)
