As it happens,I have an immediate need for this metal detector because yesterday I lost a set or car keys somewhere on my gravel driveway & this is not good.Assembly of the unit is quite straightforward and simple and the instructions are OK in that regard.I first tested the small pinpointer and was disappointed in its sensitivity. Using a variety of materials, including a one ounce silver bullion coin & aluminum and iron objects, detection required less than two inches from them, either in front or from the sides. In my opinion that is not very good sensitivity. Then I went outdoors and put some of the same materials on the ground to test the main metal detector. One thing to note is that the display unit is rigidly attached to the handle and does not rotate or tilt at all & that causes the reflective screen to suffer visibility badly in daylight. Making a hood of some sort might help but the screen should be made to swivel and or rotate to mitigate that problem. Or an anti-reflection screen cover could help.Another problem revolves around the headphones which, after fooling around with them for half an hour, I cannot get to work. The headphone cord has a little thing which looks like a slide switch, and if it is a slide switch I cannot get it to move, despite numerous attempts. Grrrrr. I finally realized that the switch/volume control was on the side of that in the form of a tiny rotating wheel.I tried my other headphones though and they worked just fine and is louder.Putting all that aside this detector does seem to be quite sensitive to even small amounts of metals, at least as they are on the surface, they can be detected at some distance. That is very good indeed. Here I must be completely honest, in that I have only been using this unit for about 3 hours so I have not yet run it through its full paces yet. As this is an expensive unit it deserves a much more detailed review than I can give at present. So far I am quite satisfied in its abilities though and I think it deserves 4 stars. As I continue to use it I commit that I will update this review as necessary. I hope this helps you.

These were easy to assemble with well written instructions. They work accurately and are comfortable to carry. Not overly heavy. You could definitely walk a long ways while carrying these without worrying about becoming fatigued by them.

Great build quality and value everything you should need. Has a lot of functions but the directions are very minimal gonna take some time to figure it all out.

This metal detector with a needle tip is a solid system, though it comes with a bit of a learning curve. Getting familiar with the unit’s settings, levels, and buttons took some practice, but once I did, it became quite useful. It even includes convenient accessories like a small shovel for digging and earphones to better hear the signals. So far, I’ve uncovered interesting items I didn’t know were in my backyard. Most importantly, it helped me locate underground electrical, water and gas lines, preventing potential hazards during a landscaping project. It's been a valuable tool for organizing underground systems and avoiding costly mistakes. I’m enjoying using this detector as part of my backyard redesign.
