In general the pump works really well. I noticed very mixed reviews when I bought it, so I waited until I had used it a while before writing my review. Some of the complaints about this product are legitimate. However, there are easy ways to make it work right. I've observed 2 things:1) If the pump rests on a flat surface, the 1/8" suction level is too tight to get a full flow. I tilt mine a little to let in more water until I get to the bottom of the barrel I am draining.2) Sometimes, it gets a pocket of air that reduces the flow rate. If you tilt it around 45-75 degrees for a few seconds, the air comes out and you get full flow again.

Used for draining pool. Used a garden hose. Took 3 days to empty pool. Next time I will purchase a 2 inch hose so it won't take so long to drain.

We got this pump to actually help clean out our large inflatable pool during the summertime. It was great because it’s portable, lightweight, and very easy for me to use. It pumps out at a fast speed and is strong, but never felt like it was dangerous or it would suck up the plastic sides of our pool. It seems to be made well, has a nice design, and is a nice size.

I often have to pump out small reservoirs inside and was looking for a pump that worked better than my small old one. This pump is a beast and works really well. It is loud but moves some serious water. It can get the water level very low before stopping, and does stop as expected. I am very happy to have it ready for use at any time.

However, it's important to note that achieving this 1/25" condition is ideal and may not always be realistic in every situation.With its 1/3HP motor, the pump delivers a strong water flow of 2000GPH, quickly and effectively draining away the water.Despite its powerful performance, the pump operates quietly, with the sound barely audible even from 20 feet away. This means I can use it at night without disturbing my family or neighbors.The stainless steel casing ensures durability, even in harsh conditions, allowing for long-term use.It can be used in various scenarios, including pools, ponds, hot tubs, basements, and more. Operating the pump is straightforward, and it comes with all the necessary accessories.
