These stones are very small, very raw so kind of dusty, some are very pretty. I just wish it had bigger stones.

Exactly what I expected when I ordered. Good opals, plenty of fire and some decent sized pieces. The only issue was a large chunk of a digging tool or knife that definitely threw off the weight. Purchased per carat and wondered why there was less stones than last time.

These are not pieces you can turn into a usable gem (which should be pretty obvious based on the price) they are cracked and have dirt throughout them. I'm fairly certain they are scraps. However, if your expectations are realistic, they are beautiful. I wanted something I could break down into opal Chips without feeling guilty for damaging them and these are perfect for that! About 25% of them had no color flashes, but the remainder had gorgeous colors and will work perfectly for my needs! I received mine today and immediately ordered more. If your expectations are realistic, there are plenty of uses for these! Worth the price! Overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

I’m sure many are gonna say rip off ……well just about every person selling opals right now is ripping people off. They’re so pretty that no one wants to come off the ones big enough to do any lapidary work with…….THESE ARE NOT WORKABLE STONES at least I do not recommend machining nor tumbling these, there wouldn’t be anything left to use , but if your projects have something easier in mind….. than treat em like glitter& sprinkle away. They are pretty & every single pebble had play of fire in it making this the best bang for your buck…..I paid the 15 bux got my stones and was so pleased that I immediately ordered 4 more this was my 3rd package here & clearly received more carats than what was offered so they maybe tiny & far from the picture displayed but I’ve been buying opals off Amazon, Etsy, & eBay for a couple years now & no one is selling no where near what they show in their display NO ONE & yes it is some big conspiracy scam with these claimed Ethiopian opals because people are only selling the pieces left over at the bottom of drainage pans from cutting & cabbing where the chips off the good machined stones fall off of & accumulate in the runoff drainage pans or buckets & it’s not rocket science to see what these are when u buy & receive them ….look at my pics I put a penny in the mix to show how tiny TINY can be & in one pic I pulled all the biggest chips out & placed them next to the penny so as long as u go in expecting small unworkable stones u won’t be disappointed, u basically either gotta know somebody that knows somebody to get usable workable opals or go mine them urself & even that isn’t guaranteed $$$ talks & these opal possessors know what they have are a desirable commodity & are so hung up on they’re beauty they just can’t seem to offer anyone a reasonable price lol unless ur looking for tiny gravel with fire in each piece which is my fortè I was breaking up my opals into tiny pieces just so they would work in my projects & that was rendering half my stones useless because when u find decent sized opals for sale only a fraction of the stone has fire & most is posh, clay, sediment garbage with a little stone with minimal play so I was pleased to see that not only did I not have to breakem up further but every little piece had play…..PERFECT THANK YOU!!!!

Confused. Very different than the photos on Amazon. Sad. Very tiny. But I see a few shining through....

Very nice color assortment, but pieces are to small to use in rock tumbler. Don't know what I'm going to do with these tiny fragments.
