I purchased to restring the pleated blinds in my camper van. This cord is a bit limp (not easy to thread through the holes in the blinds) and easily frays. I suggest buying something with a thicker diameter and sear the ends after cutting to prevent fraying. Regardless, it worked for my purpose.

The string on my blind has gotten brittle over the years and 2 blind strings snapped. Good thing I was able to purchase this from Amazon and it was just perfect for my needs. This item was strong, flexible and the shipping was real quick. This item is five-Star.

In the accompanying photo, this "1 mm" string (top) is compared to the "0.9 mm" string from a blind repair website (bottom). It is not only decidedly thicker but, upon cutting, it immediately unravels. This made it very difficult to thread through the blinds. Its slickness also meant that when I tied tight square knots in it (as I tried to use old string to pull through new string), those knots repeatedly slipped apart. This string did cost less than half of that from the blind repair website, but that cost saving was not worth the added difficulties in using it.

This product is amazing and took care of my needs for re-cording my honeycomb window shades. The yardage of the spool and the price for it are truly a good deal. The abrasive resistance of the product is superb. I appreciate ZKSM for making this cord available and at a very generous price.

I'm using this for a robotics project, and while it frays when I cut it or when it's constantly grinding against something, it can easily be hardened with a heat gun/lighter/hairdryer.
