I use these when it's impractical to calculate the correct value for a circuit, or where I want to be able to adjust the value. While I wouldn't say these are equal in quality to Bourns or other name brands, they are great for the price, and when used with that in mind, very helpful. I would not advise using these in a production environment without further research and a real spec document.

There are enough PC mount trimpots to handle most repair and design projects. Having them organized in the box is great time saver.

The good: A wide selection provided in a compartmental plastic case. Index provided. Use them with a volt/ohm meter if you need a specific value or range of values.The bad I found: Legs were too short to work well in my breadboards.

This is a great little kit. I looked at a fair number of trimmer potentiometer kits available on Amazon and this one seems to be the best bang for your buck.The pots themselves are rated for 0.1 watts, while a lot of the other kits available aren't rated that high. A practical application of this is being able to drive five 20mW LEDs in in series with one of these at full brightness, versus just a couple on a 0.05W pot.I took some of the potentiometers out at random and measured their resistance and they were all within their 10% spec which is nice too.It also came in a very nice box that presented them all very nicely.

While the reason for the purchase was not the case, getting the case (versus a bunch of baggies) was one of the considerations for this purchase and the case latch is chinsier than the one in the promotional photo.However, the parts are perfect for breadboard prototyping and just about every value of impedance I could need for my particular projects is included.

I build and repair electronics as a hobby, and I'm always in need of stuff like this. Cheap, works well, and nicely organized. They also arrived way sooner than expected. Needed a 103, and it worked great. Got my project done this weekend instead of waiting. I'm going to use this case to move some of my other trimpots to keep things organized. Probably stock up on some of the "common" use ones likes the 10k and 5k ohm trimpots. I'm a happy customer.
