As mentioned in other reviews, they do not stand up upright on their own and you do need something to place them in in order to hold them up. I also think they are a little narrow for some of my Pothos propagations.

It never occurred to me to use test tubes for plants but when I saw this I had to try it out.Where I live the biggest problem is getting seedlings to germinate. It's not always damp or moist enough. But in a test tube the water takes much longer to evaporate so you don't need much and don't have to water often. As a test I tried some tomato seeds and I can report that out of 6 seeds 5 germinated. I used a teaspoon of finely sifted peat moss with a little bit of wet paper towel under that. I used a long pair of tweezers to place the seed and an eye dropper to irrigate. I have them in a board that I drilled holes to fit them in. I am very happy with this idea and will try this for other plants.I can't speak to the suitability of these for other uses but for this it works quite will though it might not for larger seeds.

These little propagation tubes are alright if you actually have a stand for them. There is no really way to use them on their own without having a way to keep it standing upright. That is a big deal because without a stand you really can’t use them. You can’t put a whole lot in one individual tube so it’s less practical then I had hoped for. You could use them for rare plants and that makes it a bit more special overall.
