The main mechanism is a much tinier spring than in regular round spring clasps, therefore much easier to manually open and put on. But, the oval shape makes it more difficult to force the clasp arm open, for extra security while worn.

I ordered rose gold 18 inch necklace for my rose gold pendant and it matched my pendant perfectly. It is not a thin necklace and is sturdy enough to hold my pendant and I am not afraid of it breaking and losing my pendant. I wear it all the time in the shower and have had it on for about a week and has not turned or tarnished at all. I am glad I chose this necklace for my pendant. Would by again. Good necklace for the price.

Very nice, looks like real gold chain. The reason for 4 stars is that the clasp is tighter than most, very hard to operate.

I bought 2 chains because I couldn't decide which one would look better with my pendant. The other one won but this chain is well worth the price. It's well made and a beautiful rose gold tone, matched the other chain in color. I didn't wear it so I can't say if it would turn color or not, but by the description, it shouldn't.
