These binders are average quality and a good value. The paint will wear off pretty quickly at moving points and it helps to keep a little and oil and grease on them to prevent rusting. It also helps to keep the lock lever and threads working smoothly. It has about 6" of travel but hopefully you've taken up as much slack before hand so that you don't have to ratchet them that much. I would say a decent pair for light equipment binding. 4 stars.

I used them to chain down a load of junk headed to the scrap yard. They rotated freely and worked even better after some lubrication. the hooks work well with 3/8 and 5/16 inch chain. The ratchet mechanism worked well. I have had some in the past that were to tight or wouldn't always engage the ratchet. These are priced slightly less than similar items on the internet.

These are nice heavy duty binders with a nice thick enamel type of finis. I would buy again. 5 STARS

I wasn't expecting anything great for trucking on Amazon, but I have been pleasantly surprised with these binders. They are good and heavy, and the mechanism seems to be nice and fluid. They appear to be good quality, and seem like they will last quite a while.All in all, I am happy to say, I'll be buying more, as I got these as a review unit :)

I think my title says it all. These are quality binders, heavy duty construction. They look well made and function as expected. I wish I had something heavy to strap down right now, but next time I haul a truck on a trailer, which I do at times, these will be great for that purpose.These are the ratcheting type, not the spring locking kind. They have a really nice finish on them, and look like they'll last a lifetime. With the load rating, these are perfect for the kind of jobs I'll use them on. They're not a bad deal for the price either, so I have no problem recommending these binders.

There's a lot of play with the ratcheting mechanism, this causes it to lock up and not ratchet in either direction. Very frustrating
