Works great for both transmission and gear cable bushings

So the description of this bushing says it does not fit a Ford escape. It absolutely does! Tried another bushing first, which was supposed to fit my 2013 escape, but it kept popping off. So, I ordered this one because it was cheaper, and I saw a YouTube video of it being used on an escape. This was easy to install, and fit perfectly!

I was trying to find a shop to reattach my shifter linkage, when I saw their quotes and the Towing quote I decided to try myself.I saved over $200 by purchasing this bushing.I cleared the old one out, which was a process with a small screwdriver, once I was done with that, I used a pair of smooth channel locks to press the new clear one in and then pressed it back on the selector.Seems to be working perfectly.Have a great day.

I only needed the clear soft one to fix the transmission end on my 2004 F150. Had to dig out the old dried up one out of the cable end and press the new one in first then reconnect it to the transmission.

Was in town when oem bushing fell to pieces leaving me stuck till I figured out how to pull console cover off and manually change gears beneath shifter mechanism. Drove truck for few days like that till these bushings came in. Easy fix and used dental pick to remove old pieces and snapped new bushing in and re attached to shifter and good as new again. Oem lasted 17 years so hopefully get several years out of these aftermarket ones.

I came out of the local store, started my 2007 Trail Blazer, and pulled the gear shifter to drive, but there was no resistance, and it didn't go in gear. I walked home and googled it, watched some videos, and found this product. I walked back to the store, put the linkage together enough to get it in gear once, and drove it home. It wouldn't go back in park, so I shut it off in drive. Then I ordered this part and got it the next day.I had enough clearance to replace it without jacking up the vehicle. The first part goes in easy, but I needed pliers to get the second part to snap in all the way. It's hard to believe this thing is holding it all together, but its as good as OEM. It has been a few months and it works great.

It’s probably not the items fault, but this did not work for me on my 2005 GMC sierra 2500 HD diesel with 5 speed Allison transmission
