Very nice and I didn’t realize it had a removable water plate underneath. Fast ship, no assembly required

When I pulled this out of the package and saw it I squealed because it is PERFECT for my needs. I didn't realize when I ordered that it had a built in clear saucer under the wood cutout. I have a peace lily plant that I would like to move around easily but I didn't want any draining water to sit on the floor underneath since it didn't have a built in saucer. I've had it on a Pyrex pie dish to catch water but wanted something nicer looking. There is no assembly needed for this, you just take the protective foam off and you're ready to go. The saucer can be removed by turning a few wooden bars that hold it in place. You'll want to remove the plant first before accessing it to avoid mishaps. The wood feels thick and sturdy and the cutout design is lovely. The wheels move relatively easily on hard floors.

I will say that this is a very nice-looking plant caddy. At first glance and feel it was difficult to tell whether it was made from plastic or wood. I was able to indent my thumbnail into it and could tell that it is in fact made from wood. According to the product description it is made from paulownia wood (never heard of it) and it is very, very lightweight. I used my kitchen scale to weigh it, and the entire thing, including the flimsy removable plastic saucer and small locking wheels, weighs only 1lb 2.5 oz. But I did have it on a counter when reviewing it and leaned my weight into it by pressing down on it with my upper body weight (I weigh 235 lbs.) and it seemed to me to be surprisingly sturdy. (Might have something to do with having 5 wheels.) It is claimed that this is for indoor/outdoor use. I think it would do fine outdoors during the warmer, dryer months, but I would have concerns about its durability if left out during the rainy season as I do live in the pacific northwest.

This has more than 4 wheels which I love because it is more sturdy when trying to roll around a heavy potted plant. I like the locking wheel design incase I want to shift my potted plant to a location where the ground is not quite as flat. It has a clear plastic dish that is removable on the bottom base to catch debris or water. There is no lip, which means I could place a slightly larger circumference onto it and it will still work well.

I have a lemon tree that stays outside from spring through fall, but then has to go inside so that our zone six winters don’t kill it. It is annoying when I have to slide it all around, the result of it not having a permanent home indoors. This stand was the answer to that problem. The stand looks nice, and does its job - which is simply to allow a plant to be moved. The wheels are not high quality, and do not roll smoothly until some weight is added to them. My lemon tree, pot and all, weighs about 20 pounds, and it does not roll smoothly with that. I like that there is a tray beneath it to catch the water, however if water is leaking through, it is going to warp the wood pretty quickly anyways. The flimsy, plastic tray isn’t likely to last very long. All of the materials used to make this stand are about mid-quality, but it still looks cute, and it still functions. I would say to let the price help you determine whether you want to purchase this one.
