How to measure a wheel

Installation Instruction

1. Remove the old tire from the wheelbarrow by removing one or both axle brackets firstly.

2. Measure the hub length of the old wheel. Calculate the length of spacers which would be needed.

3. Measure the diameter of the axle for the existing axle. If the axle is too big, then check the enclosed 3/4" bearings.

4. If the 3/4" bearings fit then remove the 5/8" bearings, with the help of a screwdriver or other tools to pound it out.

5. Insert the new suitable bearing by placing a block of wood on top of it and then hitting the block by a hammer (the block would protect the bearing).

6. Install the new tire onto the wheelbarrow. Install axle through hub, add spacers (if necessary) and finally install it into the axle brackets.

Just replace the tire instead of changing the whole wheelbarrow to save your money.

Please check the diameter, width, hub length and bearing size before replacement. 5/8” bearings are installed on the wheel,if not suitable may change for 3/4” bearings which come in the kits

Had the typical red steel wheelbarrow from years ago that everyone has. It had an inflated tire that needed to be pumped up every time it was used. That was getting old so I replaced it with this solid tire. It fit without any problems. Fairly easy to swap out. The negative is that this solid tire is much heavier and less shock absorbing. But for our purposes, it's worth the trade off to not have to fill the tire every single time.

If you're tired of your wheelbarrow tire going flat, this is a good choice for the price.

I bought this new wheel to replace the dryrotten inflatable tire that was on my metal wheel borrow. Works great and I am now able to get my yard work done! The extra spacers makes sure that this whell will fit most applicatons!

I get very tired of having to put air in the tires of older USA-made wheelbarrows I've restored. It's a real pain to have to get out the air compressor every time I want to use a wheelbarrow, even after using liberal amounts of Slime sealer. This cost quite a bit more money than just buying a new tube, but it should end the problem permanently. These wheels come with plastic spacers so the wheel is centered. They come with nominal 5/8" ID bearings installed, as well as a second set of 3/4" ID bearings. The fit of the 5/8 bearings to my 5/8" axle shaft could have been a bit more snug, so the bearing is actually being used, instead of the just the bearing ID rotating on the axle. I guess that's what the grease fitting is for, as no fitting would be needed if the bearing was snug enough on the axle to not rotate. Putting grease on the outside of a sealed bearing accomplishes nothing, but it will help lubricate the bearing ID rotating on the axle.Overall, a great thing, and I'll buy more if I have any more wheelbarrow flat tires.

The bearings actually seem to be of decent quality for, lets face it, cheap overseas junk. If you need to change the bearings like I did for a axle size change (included) know that it isn’t all that easy. You are going to be driving the bearings out from the opposite side with a long punch and you are going to have to whack them hard. Be careful not to whack the inside part of the grease fitting and wreck it like I did (thinking I was hitting the bearing). Be prepared to whack the new bearings equally hard to get them back in. Make sure and use a big socket and/or a block of wood to direct your hammer force to the outer race of the bearing or you WILL wreck the bearing. Avoid using heat - a normal bearing install practice as the flimsy bearing seal may melt just by being near the heated hub. If you use heat go easy with it.

Works well, very easy to install. All wheelbarrows should come with one of these tires. No more struggling to push the wheelbarrow because your tire is soft or you have a flat.

Goodbye tubes and air pumps! The fact that this wheelborrow replacement tire has no inner tube is simply genious. I have hauled crushed granite with no problem in my wheelborrow. It installed onto my old, weary wheelborrow with absolutely no issues in five minutes. I highly recommend this item and seller.

This wheel replaced our original wheel easily. I like the spacers to make it fit any configuration.
