  • This is the updated newer version.
  • Now works with USB 3.0

This device connects to any 12VDC source in the same manner as commonly available buzzers and piezo sounders, yet allows you to program up to 30 seconds of any WAV or MP3 file via USB from your computer. With the flexibility of programming your own sounds, you are no longer required to listen to the standard tones, beeps, buzzes or alarm signals. The programmable indicator allows you to give voice instructions along with a warning signal or a unique tone if multiple warning devices are used in the same area. Wide frequency capability allows this indicator to play a variety of tones, alarm signals, or voice and music messages. Once programmed, the indicator will play the file repetitively until power is turned off. The file is stored on internal non-volatile flash memory that can be reprogrammed as often as you like and will not erase until another file is programmed over it. While rated for 12VDC, the actual operating range is 7~24VDC, enabling compatibility with a variety of power sources, including AC adapters, automobile systems, security system power supplies, or a simple 9V battery. Features: Ability to program any WAV or MP3 file Volume can be controlled by file programming Flash memory can be programmed more than once Pre-programming available on certain quantities Repeating continuous operation Simple-to-use Windows interface Wide frequency range DC operating voltage Flange mounting Specifications: Rated Voltage: 12VDC Voltage Range: 7 ~ 24VDC Frequency Range: 100Hz ~ 6KHz Minimum SPL (10cm w/default 1KHz tone): 100dBA Max Rated Current: 350mA Max File Length: 33 seconds Sampling Rate: 12KHz

Working well this far, the ability to load and play your own sound files to it is great.

Super easy to use. This will be replacing the annoying retro door "buzzer" in my vintage Mercedes. It now plays a door chime MP3 I found online. Drag and drop over USB, and connect to 12V buzzer signal from car - thats all!Speaker quality is.. ok. Dont expect to play a high quality song track, but for chirps & chimes its pretty good.

Simple little 12 VDC speaker that I used to get rid of the annoying screeching tone when my Tahoe doors were open with the key in the ignition. It works very simply. I had a video that showed me how to wire it into the system, and it has a USB port to connect to your computer.Connected to your computer, it acts like a flash drive, so you just copy whatever sound files you want to it. Once disconnected, it turns on and plays the sound(s) when you open the door. Much nicer than the screeching tone. Now, the biggest problem is figuring out what music I want to play ...

I used this speaker as a warning tone when I leave my vintage car with the lights still on. Easily programed with a modern “ding ding” tone you can download from many websites without cost. Easy to wire up and very useful.

I love this item in theory. It's very cool that you can program this for a quick audio clip and replace that annoying buzzer in your car. especially if you own something old with the really really annoying buzz noise instead of the polite beeps you find in newer stuff. The problem is that they decided to use all of the cheapest components possible to build this. According to the makers website the new models of these will work with USB3 whether you get that one or not appears to be luck of the draw. More importantly the connector to communicate with your PC is antiquated and I doubt most people will have some lying around now that phones are 3-4 generations past this connector. (Most common application I can think of for having one of these style cables) so be prepared to buy one so you can use this.Operates good, does what I want, no complaints there, just wish they charged me an extra 5 bucks and used parts from this decade.

Wired this up to lights so that my son didn’t forget to turn off his lights when he shut the car down. For some reason “don’t forget to turn off the lights sweetie, Mommy loves you!” Playing loudly on a teenagers car gets the job done. It’s a very rare event these days to even hear the speaker playing. Previously, there had been over 4 times that lights were left on in his old Jeep. The pain in the butt was to get the recording onto the speaker. Had to did up old Windows laptops for the installation due to Mac not being able to do it. Also needed to sort through the junk drawer to find a usb cable with the right end. Was able to get it working, but as others said, it takes a little bit of time to do.
