Product Description

Starter Solenoid 435-700

This is the replacement part of Husqvarna, used for lawn tractors/mowers.

When the ignition switch is turned to the start position, the starter solenoid valve engages and distributes battery power to the engine starter.

The most common reason for replacing a solenoid is when the engine cannot be started or even turned over and the battery is dead.

Installation Tips:

To replace the starter solenoid, you will need the following tools: Socket wrench, Screwdriver (flathead or Phillips), Wire cutters or strippers, Electrical tape or wire connectors.

Here are the steps to replace the starter solenoid:

  • Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent any accidental starting of the engine.
  • Locate the starter solenoid on your mower. It is typically located near the battery or starter motor.
  • Use a socket wrench to remove the nuts or bolts securing the solenoid to the mower. Keep track of these fasteners as you will need them for the replacement.
  • Once the solenoid is loose, disconnect the wires attached to it. Take note of which wire goes to which terminal on the solenoid.
  • Remove the old solenoid from the mower. Take the new solenoid and attach the wires to their respective terminals. You may need to use wire connectors or electrical tape to secure the connections.
  • Place the new solenoid in the same position as the old one and secure it with the nuts or bolts that you previously removed.
  • Double-check all the connections and ensure they are tight and secure. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
  • Test the mower by starting the engine to ensure the new solenoid is working properly.

It fit my Mzt61 Husqvarna with a 30 hp Briggs and Stratton engine. We are slowly and methodically replacing parts to eliminate why it sometimes refuses to start and sometimes dies on me while mowing and then won't restart. Fingers crossed this was it.

Garbage product. After installed, when attaching wires, the whole unit fell apart. Just garbage manufacturing and a waste of money.
