Not bad price, size was as expected, but I don't love the amount of sticks and debris in it. It's like it was scooped out of a pile in a parking lot and just dropped into bags. Super dirty and full of sticks. There was probably an inch or more of mud caked on the bottom of my 5 gallon bucket after washing.

I would definitely buy these again. I purchased both the 3/8” and 1/4” pumice, this review is for both. Very basic packaging but functional, I use my own containers anyways. No unpleasant odor, true to size, great mixture and texture, very few non-rock “debris,” slightly damp/minimal dust. I didn’t wash the pumice, so the dust is just another soil additive. Pic 1: 3/8” after delivery, OVER 20qt! Pic 2: sieved pumice into 3/8” 20qt tote and 0.39” 12qt tote. Pic 3: non-rock “debris.” Pic 4: 1/4” after delivery, slight over 20qt. Pic 5: sieved pumice into 1/4” 20qt tote and 0.39” 6.8qt tote. Pic 6: non-rock “debris.” Because of the mixed reviews, I decided I had the time and wanted to give my perspective. While I do not want to dismiss other people’s experiences, maybe they got bad batches? Anyhoos, I will be buying this again. Thanks so much! ^_^

Duuuude..DUUUUUUUUUDE! 😎🤙🏽SO. MANY. ROCKS! ❤️ They come with abrasive dust on them from shipping, but rest assured my gromies and fellow gardeners, they'll rinse right off and look great. (No rinsing needed tbh, the pummice dust acts to a similar role as sand particles to aerate the soil.)

Not even close to being 3 quarts. 1 quart ≈ 0.946 litres so I should measure 2.94 litres. I only measured 2.

I see people complain about the color saying it’s not white. Well hate to break it to you BUT NATURAL pumice is NOT WHITE. It will very from light grey to black AND it will be in the warm yellow color family. Mine is mixed from light beige to darker grey beige. Of course it had a lot of dust which again it is going to be dusty. It is a very big bag so just a little shaking for this size bag is going to create a lot of dust. I think the bad reviews are by premadonnas who think natural things should come perfect size shape and extremely clean….well I’ve never know anything in nature to be any of those things. Im sure they get mad when rain makes them wet too. So ignore them. This stuff is great. And you can’t beat the price. To get 12 quarts for the price most charge for 2 quarts is worth it. I don’t need it to come in a fancy bag and label. I want the lower price not premadonna packaging prices. THIS STUFF ROCKS.

So I ordered this pumice because my regular shop couldn’t get my order to me for a few weeks but i urgently needed a lot of it. So I got this thinking I would just get it to hold me over & continue purchasing from my normal seller. Well this is so much better that it made me only want this one! I wish I could get it in an even bigger bulk amount (I sell succulents and use 90% pumice so I use a large amount). I love the 3/8 size as many other brands sell much smaller sizes which isn’t optimal for my use. It’s also completely natural (brown, not white). I’ll be honest, I didn’t wash it & my plants are thriving. You do have to sift it though as you get closer to the bottom to avoid the dust—but this is with any pumice so don’t listen to reviews complaining about the small amount of broken down stone. I’ve repurchased this and will continue for a long time!

I've been using this pumice for a while now. I can't remember how many plants I've potted up in soil amended with it, but there have been a lot and it works great. Helps with drainage/aeration, stays where it is supposed to instead of floating to the surface like perlite, and is pretty close to a perfect size for 3 to 8" pots. The only issue I have with it, and this is incredibly nit picky, is the gray color. It is a bit off putting, but I can deal with it. Once added to the soil, it's hard to see. Great product!

For the price this is a good value - a lot I’d pumice per dollar compared to other products. It is, however, of lower quality - lots of dust particles and the color is not as appealing - dirt-brown rather than gray or white like other police I’ve purchased. The latter issue is a matter of taste but the large amount of dust is universally undesirable. On the whole, it’s a good value if you want reasonably uniform size pieces in a brown colored pumice and don’t mind dealing with the mess of pumice dust wafting around your potting with area, this is a good choice.
