I bought these for learning scarf juggling. The rough edges of the synthetic material made it so the scarves would catch on each other in mid-air. I got around this by sewing them so the edges are toward the middle. They work well now.

Exactly what I imagined, sheer fabric squares, perfect for dancing and movement for my 2 and 4yo boys :)
