This thing is great - you have to install the handle with two screws, but it's pretty easy, and it even comes with an allen wrench/screwdriver for it. The blade cuts paper well, but isn't dangerously sharp. I mean, you wouldn't want to chop yourself with it, obviously, but you can touch it without cutting yourself. You can also lock the blade in place so it doesn't come open. It's kind of hard to describe, so I took a picture of it, but there's a plastic bit on the handle that fits under another plastic bit on the main part of the cutter, so you just have to pop it into place and then it'll stay put. You can even pick up the whole thing by the handle and the blade won't move. The blade was also a little stiff at first and would stick, but after using it a few times, it's fine.I love that this has markings for paper sizes - perfect for journaling! - and it also comes with a corner rounding tool, which conveniently fits underneath. The corner rounder didn't always work perfectly for me, but it worked well enough, and I'm not certain that the times it had trouble weren't due to user error, lol.I like this better than the sliding kind of paper cutter I have - this one is easier for me to get straight edges - but I didn't realize you could get these in small sizes. I tested it out with regular printer paper and some 300gsm watercolor paper, and both the cutter and the corner rounder worked fine with each.

I recently added the Kandishiex 12 Inch Guillotine Paper Cutter to my crafting and office tools. This cutter offers a clean, precise cut with a capacity to handle 8 to 10 sheets at a time, making it ideal for both small projects and larger batches of paper. The sturdy, heavy duty build feels reliable, and the sharp blade glides through cardstock and regular paper effortlessly. One of the standout features is the safety latch, which keeps the blade secure when not in use, an important detail for peace of mind, especially in a busy workspace. Additionally, the grid and measurements printed on the base make aligning each cut simple, ensuring accuracy whether trimming photos, documents, or craft materials. The rubber feet keep it stable, so I donβt worry about it shifting mid cut. Overall, the Kandishiex paper cutter has proven to be a durable, efficient tool that combines functionality with precision, perfect for any creative or professional setup.
