The punch is literally useless. Its a big 1/2" punch and heavy, and I couldn't get it through some nylon webbing. So, I tried it on blue shop paper towels, and it could not make it through a paper towel. Paper Towel.I have other punches, and I got the grommets set, and they do the job but its not nice enough for anything other than utilitarian uses. I'm into leathercrafting, so I'll now have to eat this set and go buy another nicer set in the end

I wanted to jazz up a black bucket purse, and the grommets did the trick. I was worried about doing the work myself, but it was super easy.

Very good colors and size. I used these on a couple of back packs I was making for Christmas presents. I watched the video to learn how to use. Would be nice to have written instructions though.

What concerned me when shopping for a grommet kit is the quality of the grommets themselves. I was worried about the thickness, quality as many others have had problems from other brands. I didn't want any sharp, jagged edges when the back folded over. These are good quality grommets. I had no problems with the kit other than difficulty using the hole punch, and that could likely be my fault as the base was an old soft block of wood.

The grommets themselves are very nice, lots of choices. The black ones are a shiny black rather than a flat black so they almost don't look black. There were no instructions in the box, no suggestion on how to properly use the hole punch so I ruined it pretty quickly using it on concrete. But it still gets the job done. I used the kit to make tiebacks for curtains for our outdoor cabana, and they worked good. We'll see how they hold up against a Texas summer/wind.
