Engine Valve Cover Gasket Installation Steps:

  1. Open the engine compartment and remove the hood. Remove the ignition coil of the spark plug.
  2. Remove the hood fixing bracket and remove the valve cover screws in diagonal sequence from both sides to the middle.
  3. Remove the valve cover, clean the valve cover with cleaning agent, remove the aging and hard valve cover gasket, and clean the contact surface between the valve cover and the cylinder head. (Thorough cleaning can ensure the sealing effect)
  4. Install the new valve cover gasket and tighten it, install the valve cover and ventilation pipe, and tighten the fixing screws from the middle to both sides diagonally. (Installing the screws in sequence can maximize the uniform force)
  5. Install the ignition coil and engine hood.

Got everything installed and had no compression. Tore back apart and found that the dowl on the intake camshaft actuator was 180 degrees out. Will not work on 2011 Chevy Equinox. Just hope I didn't bend any valves.

The rubber it’s to tin it won’t stay on place on install keeps following off you get what you pay for just spend a little bit more or you’ll have to do the work twice

This gasket went on very nicely and fit very well. I had no problems what so ever putting it on. I did have a small leak upper left corner and I put a little sealer on it and fixed it. I don't think it was due to the gasket. It could have been other factors. The quality and fit were excellent. You can't go wrong with these gaskets for the value. Leak what leak probably head or valve cover a little off but it's all good now. Thanks very nice product.
