The basket is well made and doesn’t look cheap. It was the perfect size (bought 11”x11”x5”) for my needs as the faux flower arrangement came with an ugly vessel.

I ordered the 12.6" x 9" x 5" basket. I need "project" baskets for knitting and embroidery so that I can put a project down without having all of the tools and project itself sprawled all over the nearest flat surface by the chair or couch I'm sitting in. This is beautiful and solid. I didn't hesitate to lean my book-sized needle case against the side wall of this, because it was obvious it could take the weight. I love that the handles are hinged so that they can lay flat when not being used. I have a little bit of a basket collection and the handles are often the deciding element as to whether the basket can be placed on a bookshelf. This definitely can! The handles are slender enough that I'm not sure I would call this a picnic basket. I think they might prove to be the weak spot in carrying a heavy load. If you were going to fill this with something like potatoes, the body of the basket is definitely sturdy enough to use for heavier storage. But if you really needed to walk those potatoes to the park in this basket, I honestly think it'd be hard on the handles and probably your hands too. But I'm using this to carry crafting projects around to whichever chair looks the most comfy and has the best light at any given time of day or night, so it's pretty darn perfect for that. It's really so gorgeous that I'm giving it 5 stars even though I think "picnic basket" might be a bit of a stretch in regards to function, but perhaps is appropriate to the "looks" of the basket.

Nothing like a great looking decor item that is also useable. That is exactly what this basket is. It's well made and sturdy. And it's larger than I expected it to be, yet not too large to sit on a countertop. I plan to keep this on my kitchen counter to store cloth napkins. But you can store anything in this. The handles are functional, so you can carry it easily to wherever you need it to be. I recommend it.

Product is listed as a picnic basket. I suppose if you were a very tiny person and you made very tiny sandwiches, it could indeed be used as a picnic basket. But alas, I’m not a very tiny person and I enjoy full-size sandwiches. They should change the title to snack basket, otherwise it’s nice quality

This item has Countless uses. Ordered this for my Mom who really wanted it. She uses for many things, including but not limited to storing medication bottles and vitamin bottles in it... She also uses it for taking out the pigeon peas or in spanish gandules which she grows in our garden and you need to remove the pea from the pod... She sits down for several hours while watching tv and removes all the peas from their pod and they go right in this basket... repeatedly to use in cooking later! "aros con gandules" is a signature hispanic meal!The Basket is made to last and is very well made. There isn't a single point of failure anyone as you pass your hands and inspect every part of it. I initially thought to myself, "oh well the handle is clearly going to break first"... but No, the handle is just as strong as the Basket it is attached to and is also build strong to last. You can be sure you can work this Basket to the bone and it will be reliable and dependable. It is a great size... a fairly large but good size... not large enough to be inconvenient but large enough to be extremely useful in countless uses.It has No Cons that I can think of. My Mom loves the Basket especially since she loves tradition looking things. 5 Stars Easily!
