I actually bought 2 of these, about a year apart for a special project that got side lined. As it turned out, when I finally tried to use them, neither of them worked. Neither would spin and the holes for using the locking tool to put on were almost impossible to line up. I have a commercial size compressor and use many, many air tools and clamping fixtures in my shop. Unfortunately, the Amazon return time is long past. I definitely can not recommend this tool. Good luck!

Works perfect for headlight renewal. Feels good in the hand, like a quality tool should. Efficient air consumption, however I do have a very large compressor. Runs quiet. Reliable built in speed regulator for slow o.p.m. operation. Small enough to fit in the smallest of hard to reach corners. I will most likely find more uses in my shop for this handy little tool. Highly recommended.

Lots of accessories. Foam pads were stiffer than I expected.

The little random orbit unit is really solidly constructed. Like any air sander, if you have the speed down low you periodically have to give it a bump to get spinning and this one is no different. After it was broken in, a little Tao is all it needs. The speed control is extremely sensitive and the slightest adjustment will move you from barely moving to a much faster speed. But overall it is an excellent product. As usual, the Chinese made el cheapo pads are good, but the backing loop material separates quickly from the pad because they use junk adhesives and probably don’t do any heat fusing of the materials. I reattached one of the backing loop patches with some high heat reactive adhesive and it has stayed on like a 3M pad and the foam is actually of a decent sturdy quality that buffs with a reducing compound very effectively with no swirl halos. If they solved the adhesive issues, these would actually be some pretty good pads. But with the backing loop patches falling off while you buff, if you have any real pressure on them it could cause some damage. So for now, I call them junk unless you reattach the loop patch as I did with one of them. The pad foam itself is actually excellent.Always remember to put a drop or two of oil down in the air line receiving fixture hole and give it a few revs periodically to keep it moving freely. This is a REALLY well made, solid metal unit. With a few drops of oil and a drop of Bluecreeper penetrant fluid and this thing was fully broken in in about 10 minutes of use. Runs perfectly. If it ever stops spinning smoothly, ask the yo yo in the mirror if he/she ever put any oil down the air inlet hole. THE most common error folks make with these air tools is to not oil them regularly. If you do, even an el cheapo will run beautifully for ever. This just happens to be an extremely well made unit. Just wish the air feed dial adjuster was a bit less sensitive. Just a quirk, not a complaint. This little air RO works excellent with the 3M Trizac 1500, 3000, and 8000 grit for staged down wet sanding of targeted areas. The tiny 1” pad and 1” backing plate does vibrate a bit more than the 3” obviously because of the offset weight probably designed more for the 3” backing plate. But not in an uncontrollable or uncomfortable way. This tiny pad option is a home run for small hard to reach spaces. Just watch out for those loop patches separating under heavy use on the pads. If they used a more effective bonding method, all given in this kit would definitely be worth almost twice the price. Actually thinking about making some really high quality 1”, 2”, and 3” mini buffing pads for these little units as well as 1”, 2”, and 3” interface pads for pressure relief during sanding. With a lightweight air hose and a good output compressor and this little thing is a game changer. I did some weathering on some veg tanned leather with this unit and the microfiber pad with sand and dye and it worked absolutely perfect. Highly recommend this unit specifically if you are in need of a small air driven random orbit sander/buffer. Just be sure you have some good steady CFM of at least 5 or 6 at 90psi to get the real benefit from it’s heavier duty construction. With good air movement, this little RO is a monster. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

As a wood turner, I use pneumatic random orbital sanders a lot. I already own five and purchased this one on a whim. Glad I did! It works very well. The speed control works as advertised and is a nice feature. I tried to stall the sander by putting pressure on it as it sanded and, unlike the expensive sanders I own, I could not stop it with 90 psi behind it. I am retiring one of my Craft Supply sanders and replacing it with this one.The only negative is that it is a little heavy compared to the ones from Harbor Freight. It is probably far better built than those as well (who would have expected that?). Choke up on the handle a little and it loses it's heaviness.UPDATE I purchased this on 11 March. Worked well until early June. Then started not starting. Now will not run at all. I oiled it EVERY time it was used. The $30 model from Harbor Freight is a much better tool. It never fails to run.

Although I expected less than perfect machining, my product did the one thing I hoped it wouldn't; LEAK! The leak was at the threads. I used multiple different fittings from different manufacturers as well as an abundance of ptfe (thread) tape to no avail. I believe it is because the threads are too shallow or was just really bad machining. It's annoying but usuable. That explains why I gave it 3 stars. Seems like I may have gotten a lemon or people reviewing never connected theirs to air. Here are pros and cons:PROS: cheap price, a lot of extras, casting feels stout, adjustable air valve, ball bearing where backing pad attached, plenty of rpms for what it should be used for.CONS: leaked, heavy for what it is, bearing isn't sealed(easily can be replaced), trigger is uncomfortable, trigger is all or nothing (not variable. Expected). This is meant for headlights or small areas. Don't buy it to do a whole car or anything and I think you'll be happy, as long as yours doesn't leak.
