There is a big difference between these carbon papers and the old type you buy at Wal-Marts.I have been using the regular carbon paper to trace the coloring page (promised to make quilts, needed to buy coloring books and then trace them onto the material) but as I move my hand around it leaves smudges.Decided to order from here (Amazon) and got the ones that have colored pages. Tested them all, the yellow does not show up, or at least with me it didn't. Red looked like a deep pink and the blue definitely showed up. Since right now I can't see me needing the black I just ignored it. White I imagine would be good if you were putting it onto dark fabric.Overall, it is what I needed, some various colors that shows the colors that can be washed off. Trace the coloring page, get the markers or the tubes of fabric paint and do the (fun) job of making the empty blocks full of colors.I am pleased with this product, would recommend it if someone asked. If later on I find a problem, then I will note it here.

These work on fabric as well as wood, metal, etc. for any type of copying or pattern you need to follow. They are also water soluble. I love the small pens that came with them, makes it easy to mark with the sheets. Recommend.

I purchased this to transfer embroidery patterns to fabric. Using one of the stylus provided (there are 4) the process was very easy. After completing the project I removed it from the hoop & hand washed the fabric using warm water & Dawn dish detergent. The lines vanished.

This product was EXACTLY what I was looking for and was super easy to use. The first time I used this product, I tried the yellow paper, which may be a little too faint for some eyes. If you look at the last image I shared, you can see a work in progress where I used a blue sheet for the transfer instead. (The blue is a lot easier to see on white, but the yellow works fine, as long as you are working in a well-lit area.)For the rest of the images, I’ll walk-through what you’re seeing:- The first image shows my pattern printed on regular printer paper, along with the transfer paper and pen used.- The second image shows the completed transfer.- The third, fourth, and fifth images show in-progress work. Despite some reviewers’ comments, I did not have any issue with my transfer lines wiping off while working on the embroidery. This may be an issue, however, for very large pieces, but I wouldn’t be able to say for certain, as I have not yet done any large transfers. (The piece I embroidered could probably fit within a 3” x 5” embroidery hoop.)- The sixth image shows the final embroidered pattern, prior to washing. As you can see in the image, the yellow transfer lines are still visible in some areas.- The seventh image shows the pattern after a quick hand-wash with mild soap and warm water. The transfer lines washed off very easily! Finally, as mentioned before, the last image shows what the blue transfer paper produces. This product came with a TON of paper, so I won’t need to make another purchase any time soon, but I will definitely make the same purchase again when the time comes!QUICK TIP/REMINDER:Make sure to put the GLOSSY side of the paper down on your fabric when completing your transfer! If you’re unsure which side this is, do a few test lines and check your fabric before spending too much time tracing. Remember: Fabric on the bottom, transfer paper (glossy side down) next, pattern on the top, then trace!Happy transferring!

I only used the papers and tools provided to do my tracing and the picture shows how well this came out. The fabric is brushed microfiber (polyester), it is a pretty nice pillow case, I put a hard surface into the pillow case and did the tracing. I pinned both the tracing paper and pattern to the pillow case. I did use some pressure as well as go over it several times to ensure transfer. I feel I got better than expected results! I was worried about this fabric taking the pattern due to being soft but it seems to have done so amazingly. Believe it or not I had a mistake on the tail portion and to remove it I used a velvet style lint remover brush.. and began again.. so it comes off easily with out having to wash if needed before stitching. I dont recommend lint brush removal after embroidery work.. and haven't tried washing to see if it easily comes off fabric after work is completed, will update review after. As it comes with a lot of sheets in a variety of colors it may be awhile (only used 4 for one pillow case) before I need to rebuild, but I definitely will! These are not the reusable style, I made the silly mistake of putting the copy side down on the pattern not the fabric and it still left a hint of the pattern.. so if you have this problem this might be the case. Make sure the shinier side faces the cloth not the pattern.. yes i read this, but I still accidentally put it face down incorrectly.. :)Very easy to use.. paper is carbon paper/tissue paper thin, so not meant to draw pattern with sheet only. If you are freehanding your art work to pattern draw on regular paper first and then put between tracing paper and tool..Absolutely a fantastic product for pattern tracing onto fabric.
