I had never used rivets before these, but I needed to attach accessories to my kayak, and I knew rivets were the way to go. I first tested them out to make sure they work, then I used them to install pad eyes to my kayak. Worked perfectly. So easy to use and made a really tight connection. I will be making lots of use of these.

If you have a fiberglass RV, you probably already know that the fiberglass outside portion is just a thin skin, with foam behind it. It is thin enough that screws and regular rivets pull out, and now the hole in the fiberglass skin is even larger. The awning track on my RV started to pull away from the top wall, and I got these to fix it. After removing the old rivets (hold the back with a needle nose pliers if possible, and just drill out the head on the outside) I cleaned the back applied sealant, ant replaced them with these rivets. They really provided a solid feel and set - and won't come out easily again. I also put a spot of RTV in the center of the new rivet to prevent any water from getting inside the wall.
