Well made but without providing a second 1/4” coarse screws it’s impossible to lock down this to your scope of which would prevent rotation of the tube body around the single screw mounting plate, such as what’s needed on a lunt solar 50mm.

This easily allows me to adapt my DSLR and/or small telescope to my SkyWatcher GTI Equatorial Mount. I've added an Arca-Swiss clamp to it, enabling me to easily attach a camera using the built-in Arca-Swiss L plate on my Z9. I definitely love the size of this plate; it isn't too large or long and works perfectly for tossing in a bag or carrying with camera gear, allowing me to easily take my astrophotography rig anywhere!

I have a telescope tracking mount that I wanted to attach my camera to so I could do some astrophotography so I could use long shutter speeds. My telescope mount uses a standard Vixen dovetail plate, so I ordered this product.When it came, I could tell it was very well made and it was very solid. I'll have no concerns whatsoever with my camera falling off this plate or the mount. My camera has a quarter inch screw diameter. The only thing I was worried about was that the included screw would fall out of the plate when it wasn't in use and I would lose it. So what I did was partially screwed the 3/8" screw into the hole in the plate to block the hole, so the 1/4" screw will stay in. Overall, I have no complaints with this product.

The Sky-watcher Star Adventurer GTi star tracker kit did not include a mounting plate for attaching a ballhead & camera. The mounting plate is nicely machined, comes with selection of bolts for attaching a camera and / or ballhead and has rubber like pads for improved grip. Overall- nicely made. 120mm length is ok for a simple ballhead and light weight camera with Samyang 14mm lens but a longer plate would better if using a heavier camera / lens combo.

Fits perfectly to my az-gtiI use it with my canon 90d and ef 100-400 L ii lensIt is long enough to balance this setup perfectly .It is also ready to be converted to a L bracket (you need to buy another one) that will let you mount the camera horizontally or vertically, it comes with all the screws required.

To many companies charge 30% more for the same size/type of dovetail. This does the job well,plus comes with several different mounting screw sizes to fit various mounts .

Sturdy, robust vixen plate. Needed a good vixen dovetail to attach my Canon T3i to in order to affix it to my equatorial tracking mount for astrophotography when I don't want/need to haul out an entire telescope. Quality is excellent and works exactly how it should. Will probably buy a second one so I can make the L-bracket to have a way to mount a guide scope to the setup for autoguiding.
