This battery only lasted few months then it stoppedcharging. When I took it out to replace it I noticed it swell a good amount. I know lithium batteries swell but that happens in time as they reach their end of life. This battery has a vey very short lifespan unless it was defective from the very beginning.

The battery is too long to fit properly. how the wires were wrapped to it is largely the cause. had to unwrap the top layer to move it a bit, and. even then it was a tight fit.

If you still are using the hard drive, this battery doesn't fit the iPod 4th gen. However, if you have upgraded memory using an iFlash quad or similar, there is room for the battery, just not where originally intended.
