I was having trouble installing a garbage disposal under a sink, so I looked for a small jack to help stabilize the unit while I made the connection. Found this scissor jack, and Wow! The 6x6 was the perfect size with plenty of reach and was very sturdy and stable. I absolutely recommend this for a variety of uses; just use your ingenuity.

The lab jack is working as expected, no problems so far. Price is very good for its capacity. I wish it does not have screws exposed on the top.

Don't know why I felt compelled to write a review but I found this to work as advertised. There are a ton of these advertised and I tried to pick the one that was the least expensive, quickest to arrive and had the least number of "wobbly" descriptions. I bought it to raise and lower the bed of my laser engraver. I guess it depends on what you want it for. For me, it works great, but it's not going to hold a heavy object level. It's not like a car jack.

I ordered this to help take down a heavy microwave oven installed in over the counter cabinets. Because of the weight of the oven, its location in the kitchen, and its mounting bracket design, it would have been a hazardous effort. Having the jack under it insured a safe operation.
