This is a great butcher paper, high quality and consistent throughout. It is easy to work with. It unrolls readily, and can be cut or torn. I use this paper for wrapping meat in the smoker, but it can be used for many other things, like my kids' art projects!

The butcher paper roll is good quality. When compared to other brand on Amazon what was more expensive, I didn't notice the difference. It performed as expected. The chuck roast came out of the Pit Boss perfectly done to my preference. The roast came out with the right amount of tenderness with nice bark. The butcher paper is thick, durable, and doesn’t tear or fall apart, even after hours in the smoker. I also love that it is Made in the USA. The roll is easy to cut and wrap. I am definitely buying this brand in the future.

Uncoated butcher paper is great for the "texas crutch" (instead of foil), and while this narrow (12" wide) roll won't work with a big cut, it's just fine for smaller pieces. This will also work for freezer prep, particularly if you also vacuum seal.

This is a great role of paper. My kids enjoy using it just to drawn. If I ever use it to cook meat or whatever it’s actually intended for I’ll come back and edit my review. Right now we just use this for art and it works well.

I will admit, I really didn't understand anything about "butcher" paper until I ordered this and THEN I read up on what it means when people refer to butcher paper. I thought that if it said it is butcher paper, then that would be the equivalent of what I have seen butchers use to wrap up my steaks. But NOoooo, it turns out there are several different kinds of butcher paper and some are used for one purpose and NOT for another. For instance, this paper is uncoated, which when I received it and detected that it was different than what I was used to getting my steaks wrapped in, THAT's when I went and did my research. So lesson learned. If I had actually read the listing thoroughly instead of just seeing the words "butcher paper," I might have stopped and done the research BEFORE I ordered this roll of very fine paper. I want to stress that this is really, really good paper. It's just NOT what I thought I wanted. The listing very clearly states that this is for smoking meats (and they do list a whole other variety of uses at the end of the listing - none of which involve meat) and as such I don't doubt that is what it does very well. One article I read made it clear that what I wanted and was expecting might be referred to as "steak butcher paper," which IS coated and can be wrapped around meat and put in the freezer. And there several OTHER versions of "butcher paper" that all have a specific purpose. I expected to be able to individually wrap pieces of meat, write on the paper what they were and put them in the freezer. Not happening with this paper. First of all, as you can see in my photos, permanent markers (and I tried three different varieties) will bleed right through and to the meat. NOT a good idea. So two lessons here: make sure you're buying the right type of butcher paper for your purpose and secondly even if I wanted to use this for doodling with the kids, or for craft purposes, make sure it is suitable for those purposes. I will absolutely still be able to use this very fine paper, just NOT for what I was wanting to use it for and if I do doodle with the kids or use it to protect anything, I will test it first. Highly recommend this paper if you are buying it for the right purpose.
