Why didn't I think of these GrillHogs 12-Inch Tongs to be added to our kitchen tools before ??I was helping my wife fry chicken breasts in one of our cast iron skillets and was trying to turn them using a pair of salad tongs, that were too light weight and had front pincers with a smooth surface.Salad tongs don't work............. I NEEDED MORE GRIP POWER !!I grabbed my trusty grilling tongs that are older than most of you reading this review. They worked !OK, I am thinking, "I need a pair of strong tongs, just for our kitchen use." After searching Amazon, I foundthe GRILLHOGS Store and picked out a pair of 12-inch Tongs, that their store advertises, "Can Handle Your Massive Meat". They DO !!The tongs are made from Oak Wood and Stainless Steel. I like the agressive front pincer teeth, which can grip meat very well.I can recommend the GrillHogs 12-inch Tongs and would buy them again, "although I think these will last a life time".Best and Blessed to All.... :o).>>>

These are well-made from a sturdy metal and the wood makes it look beautiful. They grip the food easily, not like the rubber tips ones where they can make the food slip off. It is a little more work to clean the teeth area, but this is well worth having this on the design. The lock slides easily. Very satisfied with the product. And it looks nice also!

These seem to be very nice, heavy duty tongs that I think would last a long time, BUT ours arrived with a splinter in one of the wood handles. I haven't decided if I'm going to try and sand out the splinter or return for a replacement (which means I have to find packaging and go to Kohls or the UPS store, neither of which is convenient).

I purchased a pair of both the 12” and 9” tings and I am very pleased with my purchase. The handle is comfortable and aids in a secure grip (wet hands, mits, etc can affect grip for me and my small hands), and is downright beautiful. I paid a few dollars more for a pair of 9” tongs with silicone pads on the handle and locking mechanism and those silicone pads have not held up at all (the locking mechanism has lost its silicone, as the piece slid around a lot and tore right off, and there is a bioburden film around the edge of the handle pads that has collected on the adhesive around the pad because the pads have slid). There is no gooey adhesive under the wood on these tongs, no gunk collecting around the edges. These GRILLHOGS tongs are sturdy, strong and again, just beautiful. Very pleased with my purchase

I really like these. I would have given it 5 stars- but I notice one end of the wood isn’t tightly sealed next to the steal handle. I’m hoping with washing and wear this doesn’t over time separate completely.
