These are very cheap and the minimum for padding. Also, if you have plans to cut outlines of tools or whatever you plan to use these for, I would get something more durable. Hard foam would be better. I bought to put in tool box drawers and than cut out for all wrenches, sockets, etc. Hard foam is much better.

100% not what's advertised. This isn't the ridged foam you would put in a toolbox, and it's certainly not 1". It's about 1/8-1/4" soft foam! Don't fall for this scam.

The appearance of the foam sheets/sections is quite uniform. However, as previous customers have noted, the individual sections do not re-form to the advertised 1 inch height. The sections are bundled in groups of four in a shrink wrap. After ample time the groups of four are still on average 1/16-1/8 inch short per section.

The product I received was not polyethylene foam. Not sure exactly what it is, could be polyurethane foam, but it is certainly not polyethylene foam as described in the title of the product offering.

These foam sheets are so easy to use. When you get them, they're sealed in bags with the air sucked out, so open up the bag and let them fluff up a bit. When it's time to use, they are a nice bit of extra padding. My favorite thing is how easy it is to cut them to the size you need. You can also wrap them around items if you'd like. These came in very handy when I needed to ship a set of eight mugs. Really glad I tried these!

Very soft foam, but did not inflate to proper thickness.Edit: on a last ditch effort before throwing these out, I soak them in hot water and then through them in the dryer. The hot water mostly reinflated them (like a sponge), and the dryer did the rest. Now all 12 are at proper thickness!
