As a homeschooling family, this syllable and sound set is perfect for my daughter. It helps to break down any word by either phonogram or syllable. I have found that this helps my daughter with both her spelling and reading because she is able to break down words by sound. It's very fun for kids and a valuable learning tool in my home. The boards themselves feel very sturdy and feature dry erase capability, which means I can wipe them clean and use them as often as needed during our school day. There are many boards available, so I can make these up with words and phonograms beforehand and use them for various subjects.

I use Elkonin boxes with my kindergarten students as well as the older kids I tutor. These have "sounds" and "syllables" on each side. I really like this, as a teacher, and have already used them. They work well with a dry erase marker, and clean off easier than most of my dry erase boards!

These have worked well in my wife's first grade classroom during their literacy centers. The double-sided cards allow students to show both phonemic and syllabic awareness. They seem made of sturdy material and easily erase when using decent dry erase markers. Parents, teachers, and others who work with children who are learning to read and write will find all sorts of uses for these. Solid product overall, at a reasonable price.

These dry erase segmenting boards have been an absolute game changer in my kindergarten classroom! They’re perfect for phonics instruction each student gets their own board, and we use them daily to segment and write words using the individual sound boxes.The dry erase surface is high quality and easy to clean, and the layout is just right for helping young learners break down and build words. My students are so engaged when we use these, and I’ve seen a big improvement in their ability to hear and isolate sounds. Highly recommend for any early elementary teacher!

These double sided boards feel sturdy. There are 12 boards. They are a great tool for small group and developing phonemic awareness.

This is a great set of twelve write-on/wipe-off workouts that can be used for word work in your classroom. They are double sided, which is really nice because it makes them so much more versatile. One side features phoneme (sound) mapping and the other side features syllable mapping. The sound mapping side allows students to break down words with three- four- and five sounds. It makes for a great Elkonin activity! The other side allows students to listen for syllables in one, two, or three syllable words. It does not come with dry erase markers or the chips needed for students to fully utilize these workouts, but that is not a problem! Every teacher has dry erase markers in their classroom, and the chips can easily be found at certain stores for around a dollar. These are perfect for teaching essential foundational skills to your young students!

These dry erase boards are perfect for working on phonemic awareness with young children. They can write the word on the line and in the boxes as they tap it out on the corresponding circles. They are double sided and super thing which is perfect for storing them since they don’t take up much room at all.
