I've used these brushes to clean a variety of things, from firearms to outdoor & landscaping equipment. Having different hardness bristles for different tasks is quite useful. So far, the bristles have held up under mid to heavy duty use. This set is great value and would difficult to find as cheaply priced in any local store.

This is a decent set of various brushes. The steel and brass brushes work as expected and I have no complaints there. The nylon brushes are a bit stiff for my purposes (cleaning PCBs). They may work for you, however.

I usually buy similar brush kits from my local shop store, but I prefer larger sets like this. You can usually buy steel and copper brushes individually, but not the nylon versions!I used both steel and copper brushes for cleaning the bottoms off hiking boots, and they do a good job. Especially the steel, obviously. Note that the copper does take far less effort and wear before the bristles begin to deform. In any case, still similar quality to what I'm used to. These are a good buy, especially if you can't get to the store. Nice thick plastic handles--they won't break under normal usage.

These are not the best quality. There is some inconsistency in build and bristle from brush to brush. But there are 12 in the pack, and they are useful to have around the bench for all kinds of cleaning work. I don't think they will last, but at $1 per brush, they are nice to have around.These are similar in quality to the ones you can buy at gun shows for a dollar. So keep that in mind. The ones you buy from cleaning suppliers are a little better and cost more.Recommended if you need a bunch of brushes around for utility cleaning. Time will tell how long they last before coming apart or wearing down.

Overall, this set of 1 brushes is a pretty good deal (about $1 per brush in Aug 2024). I didn't really need the plastic brushes but it turns out those are the best. They have a good, solid stiffness in the bristles so that I can get some scrub-power out of these. The steel brushes are OK, also with a good stiffness in the bristles. After a few minutes of scrubbing out a rust spot on an old framing square, the bristles still looked good, a little bent out of shape but still usable. I expect these steel brushes will be pretty handy. The brass brush bristles were not very stiff. These bristles bent out of shape and flattened out too easily, making the brass brushes not very useful. 3 stars means I thought that this product was an OK value and serves the purpose that I bought it for but nothing special.

Except for maybe the nylon brushes, I don't expect to use these to clean any of my firearms. The brass and stainless brushes are just a mess. The bristles have inconsistent lengths, overall the bristles are sparser than on any of my other brushes and they also have poor/inconsistent flex. They looked worse out of the box than some other brushes I've used for years.

Have used these for a variety of purposes and having the mix of bristle types is nice. Work well as expendable brushes. Hold up well and by the time they start to show wear they are usually dirty/gummed up enough to warrant just throwing out and starting fresh anyways. 12 pack is nice. Gave some to my family to use and still had several for me. Would definitely buy again.
