Recently got this set of water brushes and honestly, they’ve been a fun little win for keeping mess at bay. The colors are bright and cheerful, and the soft bristles glide over the water-reveal books like a charm. No need for paint or markers—just fill them up with water and let the magic happen. What’s really nice is that they're chunky enough for small hands to grip easily, which makes them great for little ones just getting the hang of holding pens. They’re also awesome for travel—super compact and mess-free, so we’ve taken them in the car and even to restaurants. Only real downside is that the brush heads can bend if they’re not used gently, and if you forget to empty them before storing, you might get a bit of leakage. Not a huge deal, just something to keep in mind.

These have been a hit with my toddler! They're the perfect size for little hands, and once filled are ready for several sessions worth of art making. A little paint goes a long way in these! They've been a great way to pass the time in the high chair while I prepare meals and snacks. Just make sure you store them brush side up when not in use, otherwise they will spill. I keep mine in a cup in the dining room, and we've really enjoyed the opportunity to paint together.

These work exactly like the original water wow brushes. Im replacing the worn ones in the picture. I wish I had found these replacements sooner because once the brushes are splayed in this way, the plastic scrapes and damages the water wow pictures. They are such a mess free activity for my grandchildren but I was hesitant to purchase more since the brushes do get worn. It feels good to have a nice amount of replacements so that I can add new picture books.

My daughter is a school teacher and has to purchase all of her own supplies for not only the children’s learning, but for art and music programs if there’s going to be any.I like to help her anytime and in anyway that I’m able too. One of these ways is finding these 12 multicolor aqua brushes, or pens. Since there’s 24 in a class, I’ll just buy another set and she’s got a great deal for when the kids want to do their water painting. Each one of the water brushes, or pens, contain a cartridge that you fill with water and then all the children need to do is to brush their water color pallet and then onto the paper to make their picture. These are ingenious water brushes that are great ideas and for 12 of them they are less than $10. Incredible value because these can be used over and over again. Having the water in the brushes will be a great way for some in the class to learn how to use watercolors in a faster manner. There are specific watercoloring books, and water doodle sets, that these water brushes can used for. They can be used at home, the classroom , or days-cares. These pens are multifunctional, which is wonderful for a classroom, and especially for a classroom on a budget to add. It gives me great pride to give these to my daughter for her classroom. It’s an extension of my love of learning and for my daughter.

I got these to for the M&D water wow books, as I am always loosing the pens they come with. I actually really like these as they are more like paint brush style, so it is easier to "draw/paint" with and doesn't ruin the books as much because you don't need pressure. The only downfall is you have to empty the water when your done after each use, as there is nothing to stop the water from piling wherever you put the pen down. Definitely like the pack comes with 12, so i don't have to worry about misplacing a few.

I have two granddaughters who love those color with water books and mats. I love them too since it keeps my walls, floors, and furniture from being covered in markers. The only problem with those is that while the mats and books last through multiple uses, sometimes the "markers" that come with them do not. So I was thrilled to find the solution to my problem. This double set of replacement markers. There's actually two packs in this set so each girl can have her own pack. Honestly the little paint brush end on these is better than the ones that came with the mat and books. They are also a different brand but work just great. They don't leak either as some have done that come with the cheaper books or mats. I'm so glad these are available.

First a confession: I misread the description for these, so was surprised they don't come with pigment. Now I understand they are for fast, uninterrupted drawing on color-pads. That being established, and me without a color-pad, I had to find a use for them. So I got out my watercolor paints, filled one of these pens with water, and went to work. It was quite freeing. With carful use, I was able to paint an acceptable landscape, without ever having to dip my brush in the water. That was a nice step eliminated. It allowed me to complete a stream-of-consciousness illustration. These are now in my art therapy kit, and I anticipate getting quite a bit of use of them. I'm sorry I couldn't advise on the proper use, but the use I discovered is nothing to sneeze at.

These are great replacements or additions to your Melissa & Doug water wow books. They can also be used on any paint with water kids books. I was pleased to find I think these work better than the ones that come with the M&D books- I think there’s more bristles so the water flows a little better, which my toddler really appreciated. I also haven’t noticed any leaks. It’s so nice to be able to spread these to several different places instead of always having to search for one every time your toddler says “I want to color” because we all know the “crayon” doesn’t stay with the book because they want to play with them! This is a great dupe product and an excellent value!
