These work great for my needs come wrapped in plastic so are protected from scratches wish they did not send in Paper envelopes could fall out or break through but as far as rods go these are 1/2” round and fits my needs great.

This is a brass rod, its brass and its in a rod shape.I was able to make the thumb nuts I needed out of it. Though I don't think its a high quality brass, its good enough.
