I ordered this for weed whipping around my house and also managing a HEAVILY forested 2 acres of my property where weeds / brush grow 5 feet tall by the end of the season. I did not try out the mowing function or the edging function but it would appear that this unit could handle both of those very well.I did test the weed whipper and brush cutting capabilities extensively and this tool performs extremely well. Sufficient power to slice through grass, tall weeds, and small brush easily with just the blade. The value is extraordinary. The 3 blades, mowing ropes, and even 2 saw blades were of great quality. I sliced down a quarter acre of tall growth with ease. I was surprised the unit came with 2 batteries... which led me to believe that the battery life was short and I would need 2 batteries to do an hour's worth of hard work. Boy, was I wrong. I had the weed whacker humming at full throttle for almost an hour straight and I only bled one battery down to 75%. The battery on one full charge lasted longer than I did. I don't know if I'd ever need the 2nd battery but I'm glad to have it.Might Be An Issue? When I was doing "start/stop/start/stop" weed whacking (around my house), I couldn't get it to fire up again to full power. I would hold the trigger and it would fade and die after numerous attempts. Finally, I pulled the battery out and reinserted and it ran fine ONLY AS LONG AS I held my finger on the trigger when I went full bore taking care of my wooded acres. I'm going to try the 2nd battery to see if this is a battery issue or a unit issue. I don't want to send the unit back, I'm willing to deal with the glitch even if it means I have to hold down the trigger. I'll report back if I can't get it this fixed.I'm nitpickingI appreciate the goggles, but they are very cheaply madeI'm 5'10" and I wish I could extend the handle just a little more, If I was taller, I might complain more about the handle lengthThe battery charge reader on the handle is difficult to see in sunlight conditions making it difficult to see how much is left. No biggie though, the battery life seems to last forever!I used to use a corded weed whipper with complicated weed eater string replacement, a corded edger, and a gas chain saw to manage areas of my property. This unit takes care of all of those duties. I'm keeping this at 5 stars unless I can't resolve my power failure issue listed above. Even then, I'd only drop it to 4 stars.

All I can say is Wow! This edger has so many features that makes my life easier! Since my husband had two back surgeries, I have had to take over a lot of the lawn care, like the edging. With our gas trimmer, I first have to make sure we have gas, then I have to make sure it is mixed with the 2-stroke oil, and then I need my husband to start it since it is so hard to start! I have none of those problems with this electric trimmer! This one is so much easier for me to use!!* Comes with 2 battery packs and a charge station! It had enough power that I was able to edge 80% of my overgrown 1-acre yard with these two batteries! They lasted a long time. I would have been able to do the whole yard with the batteries if my yard had not been so overgrown. (From me avoiding the gas trimmer.)* It comes with skis! These skis are amazing! It makes edging the yard, feel like you are pushing a vacuum! It is so much easier on my back and shoulders than holding it the whole time or using a shoulder strap! I Love it! I wish I had known about skis for a trimmer years ago!* It has a string that is so much easier to deal with than a speed head or a bump head! The strings slide right over the screws on the head. (There are two screws on the head). It is so much easier! Now I can change the string without my husband's help! And the trimmer even has a compartment for holding extra strings! The seller has on their website where you can buy a refill pack of 60 strings for $20.00.( ASIN: B0DCSJPBRH)* Comes with 3 sidewalk edging blades. (I haven't tried them yet, but I am looking forward to it!)* Comes with 2 saw blades. (This is my husbands department, he will have to try it.)* Has a wheel that you can attach to the trimmer for edging. (I haven't tried this yet.)* Comes with gloves and safety glasses.* On the handle there is a screen that tells you how much battery life is left in the battery. It displays it as a percentage.* Includes an easy-to-understand manual.*** User tip: After using the edger on damp, tall grass in my yard, I had a problem with the trimmer not staying on after starting. It was because the wet grass was coating the vent holes on the head, causing the motor to overheat. If you use a dry towel or a brush to gently wipe off the vent holes, it will start right up and stay on. For some reason, this is not mentioned in the manual.
