These bits are shorter than the ones sold by dremel. You can slide them up in the chuck of your tool and, if you use the dremel guide, adjust it so that you clear at least 2/3 of the tile's thickness.These bits are tougher than dremel's and have a larger cutting surface despite the shorter shank. I actually trimmed a tile set too close to another. It cost me 2 bits (they dulled to the point of not cutting) and on the third I passed through the porcelain.Yeah! These are tough and a great buy before taking on a tile project. They also pass through plastic spacers and thinset (I'm a total amateur and did a bad job with laying the tile) and will handle whatever you throw at them. A much better investment than the competition. As stated by others, this is the one. Pay up front here and you'll save money AND get higher quality than you would through a big box store.

The very best. If you are buying anything else, you are definitely wasting your time ! These are incredibly strong ! Sure they snapped after an hour or so of extreme abuse. The others ( home d) wouldn't last more than 3 minutes under the same abuse ! Well worth the money. I bought 20+ . Huge project! I think we have 8 left ? I think if I would have gone through 60+ if I had used the ( Dre... From home ..) !!!!

Performs better than certain name branded bits! I was able to get some very irregular grout removed in a jiffy.
