Se me hace muy cara para la calidad de la madera y la manilla llegó rota y sirve para lo que es hacer precio pero no de manera pareja si el cuaderno es más pequeño que la medida es mejor poner hojas libros o lo que sea para que la presión sea pareja por qué si no la tabla se mueve y no funciona bien

This wood book press worked fine. Good quality materials used. Easy to use and nice fit. I would recommend it.

I love the design of this press. You can appreciate the quality in the material and the design. It looks great and works great with binding, putting signatures together and even pressing flowers or flattening papers. There’s so many options for this press. The only flaw I discovered was the metal ring that lowers onto the press. It’s functional as designed but it needs a larger diameter or add on to distribute the pressure more evenly. I would still recommend it as the flexibility is useful and the quality is worth it

This book press comes in a plain brown box. The bamboo parts were wrapped in flexible foam sheets. Most of the hardware was in a small ziplock bag. The long bolt with a knob on the end could've used more wrapping, as it had nearly poked through the side of the box, but everything was unharmed.An instruction sheet was provided, with photos. The descriptions of the steps had some room for improvement, but it was easy enough to figure out. Everything pretty much only fits together one way, it's just a little fiddly using the provided combination Allen/Phillips screwdriver.The hardware can all stick to a magnet, so it's probably plated steel. The bamboo is well-sanded, the holes in the base were accurately aligned, and the hole for the long bolt has a metal liner sleeve to protect it from wear during use.I got the smaller of the two book press sizes (the only one offered at the time of my order), which is a good size for working on books up to the size of a typical hardcover novel. The larger size of press would be suitable for most coffee-table books.

This wooden book press was very hard for me to leave a review, not because of its use or because I don't know how to write, but because this is a beautiful product and I was heartbroken when finding out that it had issues. First off, the nut that has been securely built into the top support bar is a great feature. Many other presses like this don't have such a feature and can be damaged when tightening down. When assembling this wooden book press, I discovered that all but one of the pre-drilled holes for the screws were at an angle, and this caused some concern by the sounds coming from the wood when screwing them in tightly, and it left park of the screw head sticking out. As soon as I noticed the angle, I took the screw out and tried again, and again, and again, but nothing would make these screws go in correctly.Beyond the screws, the single screw/compression shaft in the center is okay when pressing flowers, or if you are making a book that is almost the same size as this press, but when you are trying to make something smaller and having access to the edges/sides is needed, then having the center only support will make the top plate tilt and slip/fly out of this press. This item is very cheaply made. The wood is thin and the construction does not look like it will last very long. It is pretty to look at though.
