The picture is deceiving, I wasn't sure I would fit all of my oversize straws in this container but got it as it was the biggest one I could find. Worked perfectly though. Was even able to keep the plastic straws that came with it in the container as well.

Great price, nice looking, not glass (in case the cats knock it off the counter). Holds my 10" smoothie straws nicely.

I have a variety of non-disposable drink straws that have accumulated over the years. I bought this straw holder to clear out some drawer space. I am well-pleased with my purchase. The container is tall enough to fit even my longest straws. There is ample room for whatever you like. I was even able to put some of my chopsticks in as well.. I was impressed at how sturdy it is for a plastic container. It looks very nice in my kitchen. It arrived without damage and unbroken.

I was hesitant at first but the plastic is thick and sturdy. It weighs enough that the lid Can be opened with one hand (very heavy and tightly packed straws might be a two handed job). Tho I'm confident enough to store my glass straws in it and haven't had any issues opening it with one hand.

I needed a straw dispenser for straws greater than or equal to 8-10 inches in length. This is perfect! The reusable glass and metal straws that I use are at most 10.5 inches. To remove the straws raise the lid by the handle. The lid can be raised high enough so that the straws fan out and allow only one straw at a time to be touched. The dispenser came with plastic straws that are individually wrapped. The design is attractive and is compatible with my kitchen decor. The holder arrived without blemishes. If my metal and glass straws have left any marks on the inside they are not visible, likely due to the shine. The dispenser is easy enough to wash. I would recommend using a bottle washer on a long handle. I use something similar for drying (lint-free towel). Though with the lid separated it relatively small adult hand can fit inside no it’s not careful you are likely to lead smudges from your hand/knuckles on the inside.I anticipate that this will last a long time. I’ve already ordered some additional colored glass straws to place inside for that pop of color.

My wife has taken to drinking out of a straw when drinking from large glasses. We have store bought bags of straws floating around the kitchen. I bought this because it would take the extra long straws and make them neat and easily available. It also looks good on our kitchen counter. If you haven't used these before, there is a small tray at the bottom that is connected to the pull-up knob on the top. As you lift the pull-up knob, the tray lifts and the top of the straws fan out, under the lid, making it easy to pick just the one you want. Then when you drop the knob, all the remaining straws are neatly gathered back into the dispenser, and the lid seals up the dispenser. These used to be common on the counters of Soda Fountains, but those have all but disappeared. The dispenser holds a good number of straws, and it comes with a bunch wrapped in paper, like they used to be. The longest straws I've found on Amazon do fit easily into this dispenser. I suspect there may be longer straws out there, but any of them under 10.5 inches fit well. So do smaller straws, one just has to lift the lid a bit higher. We currently have a mixed batch of straws in ours, some I bought thinking they were long enough (barely were), some she had gotten, some that came with the dispenser (and work great) and some that were the extra-long ones I found here. When one of us pulls up the knob, we can choose which of the straws we want.

Received this dispenser today. The acrylic part is a large cylinder and then the metal one piece part fits in it. It fits smoothly and as it says, no room for a straw to slip between the metal and acrylic. When you lift the top, the one piece metal (top attached to bottom metal holder by metal stem piece) and the straws fan out. It's no issue to use smaller straws less than 9" size and one can access them easily. I also have the very tall TERVIS straws in it, I have 10.5" Housesavvy straws (brightly colored ones in the picture I posted) which are silicone and very thick,( they are my replacement for TERVIS which aren't BPA free--slightly smaller than Tervis straws though).. and I have 10.6" metal straws.I have 8 3/8" silicone straws, 9" stainless steel straws also. This seems so narrow for the large amount of straws it holds! I have 5 tall Tervis straws in it, 6 Thick Silicon Housesavvy 10." Straws, I have 6 10.6" stainless straws in it and 6 9" stainless steel straws.... also I have 6 thick plastic straws (white with green stripes in picture) which go with mason jar lids, 20 straws which are 8 3/8" silicone and I have 3 acrylic straws which are about 11". I have all those straws in it and I have room for more if I wanted! It came with 20 tall disposable straws which were individually wrapped; I put them in the car to use on the go until they are gone. This straw holder is tall and it didn't fit under counter (it would but not when I lift the top) but I found a space for it. It looks very sharp with its simple clean lines and it helps keep my straws sanitary. I dropped it after I took it out of the box and was very glad I had not decided on glass. It did not break. :-). I also had looked at shorter straw dispensers and they were made for standard type straws, over and over it said wouldn't hold 8 1/2 inch or 9" straws. This one holds the tall and short straws both, the skinny and fat straws. I would definitely recommend this, so glad I got this one!
