This is a bit heavy but its also a load rated connection for 1 1/2" web - even if it is your belt.The latch works smoothly and latches securely - its easy to unlatch if there isn't much load on the buckle. The higher the load, the stiffer the release tabs get to operate - loaded with a heavy load it could be difficult to release.The pass through for the adjustable side of the buckle has a sliding plate that helps to catch the web and keep the adjustment locked. It works great with some webbing and may slip with others but it does work well with some web materials.Finish is fine and there are no rough edges - its well made.

This buckle is solid. It's assembled with rivets and has a nice finish. The latch is simple to insert and locks securely. Unlatching, however, requires pressing down on the small release tabs that I found difficult to do with my large fingers and require a lot of pressure because there is so little leverage.
