Drained gasoline out of my boat with onboard gas tank and this worked great. Fast and had to pump from a 5 ft hose put down into tank to reach the filler spout on side of boat.

I’ve owned this pump for just over 30 days and I have to say it is not worth the money. I bought a cheap $20 pump off Amazon and it out perform this 100 times over. This pump actually stopped working on me yesterday. Not used very hard, only used to transfer transmission fluid From a barrel into the pan. Would not recommend purchasing.

No explanation for all the pieces that came with it...but.. not a problem. Used what I needed. But, what were all the other pieces used for????Very noisy.. not a problem..80 year old lady.. in Alaska... I put it together.. and moved 300 gallons of fuel.. with no problems.Let it cool down.. did it in 100 gallon increments.Just a little leak (drip) at the housing seam.Plan to purchase another, back up pump... even with the noise and drip... I actually think I'll get another one of these... so far.. with only minor annoyances... it works fine.Good enough to want another of this brand.. as the backup. It gets rather cool up here... and you better have a way to move fuel... when you need to...

Bought this to replace another brand that lasted one month. Hard to find a 12v pump with 3/4" NPT threads that also takes a standard size threaded filter. This pump is strong, fast and durable. I wired in an ON/REVERSE/OFF switch. It will fill a 14 gallon tank in no time. It pulls regular gasoline (non-diesel) from a 45 gallon tank (3 ft tube) through a 15 ft hose without issues. Very good investment.

Very impressed with the ability to pump in either direction with the bi-directional switch. So after pumping fuel into the truck, I remove the nozel and pump what fuel is left in the hose back into the tank. Nothing to wipe up! All components appear to be of good quality. I made a fuel filler nozel using 1/2" copper pipe. 90 deg. coupling, and hose adaptor. Slips easily into a GM capless filler tube.

It really moves gasoline and when done drains out very quickly. I got it to suck the gas out of my generator, so it wouldn't go bad and clog the carburetor during long periods of no use. I wanted to get as much gas out as possible, so it wouldn't take forever to run the rest out, running the engine. I got some clear tubing at Home Depot to make it work for this and I'm extremely happy with the result.I left it out to evaporate any remaining gas and have put it in an old DeWalt tool bag for storage. I'll probably take it along on any extended trips to the boondocs to transfer gas from cans without the inevitable spills when using the pouring nozzles.

I've had the unit almost a full year and use it regularly for my tractor, generator, and yard mower. This afternoon I transferred 5 gallons each of gasoline and diesel and the transfer rate has not changed. Excellent product. Updated to 5 stars. Original review follows ...Well packaged with closed-cell foam and bubble wrap to ensure contents would not bang around. Provided adapters were for ½” and ¾” line. I selected ½”. An extremely generous amount of Teflon tape was provided. For a power source I used two 12V/7Ah rechargeable batteries, of the type used for security systems and gate operators I had on hand, in parallel. I transferred 15 gallons from three five gallon cans in the time expected. The unit had no difficulty self-priming from a 6-foot feed line for each transfer. Afterwards, when I put the batteries on the charger, they each had 90% capacity left. I especially appreciated that when the unit is turned off, fuel flows down to the lowest point. Since I had the pump in the middle and the cans in the lowest, all the lines and pump were drained of gasoline when I removed power. After I’ve used this for more than one evening and get the same results, I’ll bump my rating to 5.
