If u want to convert ur Gotrax xr elite max wheels to solid, this wheel is compatible, it takes a lot of strength to put it in so 2 people is preferable.

I was having a hard time finding this pneumatic drive tire for my son scooter, and it fits perfectly went on a lot easier than we all thought

Tried boiling approach first. Was so hard to get the tire on even with two people and three tire irons. I ended up using the microwave to reheat the tire a couple of times before I finally got it on. I used clamps to keep one side of the tire in place and then worked the tire onto the rim using the tire irons. Need to really put some muscle into the tire irons and worked up a sweat to finally get the tire on the rim. Good quality tire. Was worried about the tire being too hard and the ride being bumpy, but fears were unfounded. Tire has enough elasticity to absorb bumps on the road.

One of the reviews was by a Ford mechanic who said he couldn't get it on. I'm 20 and have probably spent a week in the garage in my life and did it in an hour (with another guy), so it IS possible.I was replacing the rear tire, and once it was off the scooter (look up on YouTube how to do this) I microwaved this for 4 minutes and applied dish soap to the edge you slide it on, then once it was on (took about 45min) could wedge in the closing side, and screw and wedge in the closing side (one screw at a time until the whole piece was wedged in).It took a second person, heat gloves/oven mitts, dish soap (any lubricant), and about 90 minutes in total. If you've never taken the tire off, especially the rear tire, be prepared for a few hours of time spent. But ideally once you fix this, you'll never have tire issues again.I personally made a YouTube video for how to take off the rear GoTrax G4 tire and how to put this tubeless tire on if you need help.Once it's on it's very nice. I only replaced one tire, and even though they're different heights you can't notice a difference there. It's slightly more bumpy than a filled tire, but I will take that to a flat tire any day. I'm 190lbs and it still easily gets to 20mph, so there's no issue to performance either.

Gotrax G4's have Split Rims. That means you can unbolt one side of the rim and divide it from the other side to install a new tire or tube. No forcing it over the side of the rim like a car or bicycle tire. These Felixstory tires are not made for this type of rim. They are made to be softened by boiling them and forced over the outside of the rim in order to set into them into place. That means a lot of stretching and work. I tried to install them on my G4 by splitting the rims and they will not fit a G4 because the diameter is not even the same. Without forcing the tire over the outside of the rim, which could scratch and damage the rim, they simply do not fit. Too small and hard. They would also lower your scooter to the ground losing clearance because they are not as tall. I'm sticking with pneumatic air tires because that is what the G4 is made to use. Air tires do provide an easier ride on a scooter without suspension as well as providing better traction. So the trade off on having to replace tubes is worth it. They might fit another brand made for solid tires though. I sent mine back for a refund. BTW I used to be a Ford mechanic and replaced and repaired a lot of tires in my days so I have some experience with this issue.

Tough to put on but eventually you get them on. Keep at it. I boiled them.

I just installed these on my daughter’s G3 (smaller size) as well. This was the second installation I have completed. The first was on the G4. I learned a little on the first go round. I spent most of the day installing them. This time I did it in just about 2 hours.Take photos of the tire on the scooter before you tear it apart. This will help you get it back together properly. My advice for the Gotrax with split rims is to take a screw out of each wheel, because they use different sized screws in the front and rear, go to your local hardware store and buy longer screws. This will help you get the rims back together on this solid tire. There are 6 screws holding each rim together. I used 3 of the longer screws to tighten it down. This stretched the solid tire into place. From there I put the original screws into the 3 remaining holes and tightened them down. Then removed the longer screws and put the remaining original screws back in. I found this method much simpler than trying to use a vice or clamps. You will have to get creative on the rear wheel. The rear holds the motor so it goes together differently than the front. The big difference is that you can’t use real long screws. I bought 20mm and 30mm. Had to step them down.Best of luck on the install. Be patient and know that you should really never have to touch them again. I have replaced the inner tubes multiple times due to flat tires. So fingers crossed these last.Pro Tip. To boil the tires DO NOT USE YOUR WIFE’S GOOD POT. You will be sleeping on the couch. I used a kitchen pot when I did the G4. Totally ruined it. So the second time I boiled the water and poured it into a disposable foil pan with the tire. See photo 2 showing the foul residue left in the foil pan. Easy PZ just throw it away.

Tires seem to be good quality. Riding is not as smooth as air filled tires, but I guess it depends on your scooter and suspension. Fits perfect on my Gotrax G4. Installation is a nightmare and took me 3 hours. The microwave method seemed to work better than boiling.
