I intended to replace the factory exhaust manifold nuts with these nuts. As they were screwing on, the running torque increasing above the FSM final torque. I attempted to remove them but they galled and locked on the stud causing the studs to back out of the head. I had to remove the nuts by cutting them off. These nuts are complete junk.

Excellent, Worked perfectly on my Yamaha Vstar 1100 front exhaust. Tight clearances between the nut and the exhaust pipe and these nuts allowed a little more room for the wrench to work with. As you have to remove the front exhaust to perform an oil filter change these nuts will come in handy and the copper coating should help to eliminate seizing on the stud.

Worked good although they require you to really tighten them or else they work themselves loose.

When I first tried to use these to fasten the exhaust manifold on my 2004 Audi TT, they got hung up as soon as they were about to pass the end of the studs. I thought the thread pattern was wrong, but it turns out that these nuts have three lips on the edge that help to secure the nut after it's been properly torqued. I wasn't expecting that, so if you receive these and find they can't be hand tightened past that edge - that is probably why. Just put some more torque on them and they will continue to go down.Going from I believe an OEM 13mm nut to these 10mm nuts will make a world of difference when it comes to accessibility. And my pre-existing studs and nuts were rusted to the point I had to torch them to replace, so with new studs and new nuts, the exhaust side of the engine looks like a million bucks.Just make sure these are the right size beforehand and you'll definitely be satisfied.

My Tundra has 238k miles on it and I had to destroy a couple of the nuts to remove my downstream O2 sensors. I decided to replace all 4 with these. The thread size is perfect. You can see the OEM nut on the left side of my photo over the new one. It requires a different socket size than the original, but that is the only difference.

I could not install an aftermarket downpipe on my vehicle because the factory M8x1.25 locking flange nuts were too large and I couldn't get a 13mm wrench or socket on them. I was getting ready to purchase another item when these popped up in my suggested items. Thankfully they did, because these saved my butt! The 10mm wrench size and reduced flange size worked perfect. The only suggestion I can give you is to use some kind of lubricant (grease or WD40) on the threads because the crimped locking portion of the nuts are extremely tight and you risk damaging the studs if you don't.
