If you're worried like I was that this product won't fit on your canon sx420i you don't need to be. It fits and works perfectly. Easy to remove and easy to initially put on. I can't afford a dslr and all changeable lenses so I got the powershot. This is an amazing way to get those macro shots on a none dslr.
