After a very cold night I had one failed window sensor on my Honeywell Vista 20P alarm system. The security company wanted to charge $250+ to replace the failed sensor. I did it myself in 5 minutes, it was an easy install with screw-Terminal and works perfectly. I just needed to replace 1 failed sensor, but I have 9 spares now. Excellent!

I just needed to replace one 3/8" recessed wired door alarm switch contact and one of these worked perfectly. I didn't even have to replace the magnetic contact. Now if any other contacts go bad in my home alarm system I have 9 spares to use as replacements.

Works great with an esp8266 as door sensors. And the range is quite good between the sensor and the magnet. It’s almost a problem, as the door isn’t fully closed, but it registers as closed. So make sure you put it on the correct side of the door, so the magnets are only close when the door is closed. I put ours too close to the hinge, should be on the other side.

These sensors were just what I needed. They allowed me to replace some failed sensors on my alarm system. The screw terminals were great. They allowed me to easily connect the new sensors. This saved me a minimum repair bill of $150 that alarm companies were quoting just to come look at my system.

I haven't used these yet, but the holes and screws for the wire connections are very small. I hope I can use them.

These work perfectly for replacing worn out sensors on my home security system. The magnets are strong & reliable, and the sensor switches are so easy to install - just insert 2 wires & tighten set screws with a screw driver. Really easy to use with minimal 'handiness' or DIY skills required if you need to repair/replace your hard wired home security system sensors. I'm very glad I was able to find these and do my own repairs. My security company wants to replace damaged sensors with gaudy wireless sensors that fall off and require batteries. The wireless ones are such and eye-sore! I much prefer my hardwired, hidden sensors. These are great!

I bought these to install on my exterior with my existing Honeywell/ADT alarm system because I didnt want to go wireless unless I absolutely had to. I had to install mine from the panel to the door which took a little work drilling holes and fishing wire. However, being that I work in construction and enjoy doing electrical work it wasnt that hard for me. You'll need to have a flex-bit in order to drill up through the door frame.

I like the size of these sensors, but beware as they are for 3/4" gap and the reed switch can become magnetized and fail to open (sense the door/ window open). I would prefer higher reliability, or prefer that they fail to close rather than open.
