The hard plastic watering stakes are easy to fill with water, I even added fertilizer, and work best for indoor plants. The instructions state it's best to fully saturate the plant then add the bulb, I agree. The bulbs lasted about a week or so depending on the plant.

Like other reviews, the small ones are hard to fill up. But since I turn faucet just a bit, it fills up nicely. They work much better on up to a gallon planter. The bigger ones did well on my veggie plants that are 3-5 gallons.

I have had the glass version a few times, and I love them, but they eventually/always break . These are a nice thick plastic, consistent color, work just as good, and I am able to put them in all of my pots, not just 2 or 3 for the same price. The stems don't chip when I place them in the pots, water level is easy to see, and the color doesn't seem to fade in the sun. I've used 8 of them so far with no defects.I only wish they were available in a color variety, but would definitely buy again & recommend.

These were a disappointment. I've read the tips for use online and tried pre-poking the hole,lanting them, putting them in dirt straight, and soaking the plants before inserting. Sometimes they water the plants gradually for about a day but most globes are empty in hours. I was hoping to use them for a 5 day trip so a neighbor didn't need to do the watering. Luckily, I tried them the week before leaving so I had to ask someone to water the plants. It's been over 95 degrees here for several weeks with hardly more than a few hours of a light rain the whole time. Perhaps that impacts the watering bulbs?? They look nice in the sun. LOL!

Not worth ever one star! Water drained out within an hour! Definitely won’t last for an overnight trip, let alone a week’s vacation. With this relentless heat, I’m prepared to just replace my dead plants when I get home. Don’t waste your money!

I bought these since I would be gone for three weeks, and leaving my plants for someone else to take care of for that length of time hasn't worked well in the past for the health of my plants. Upon my return, all my plants looked healthy. All the bulbs were empty except the two I put into my new plant. I wanted to make sure it didn't run out of water. Some plants were dry, but not sickly, so I think these watering bulbs worked perfectly.

So easy to use. Fill with water and put in soil. Just have to check periodically to know when to refill. Sturdy, good price and get two different sizes. Great design to make sure water slowly dispenses into the soil. Perfect to keep plants watered.

I should have read everything better as it states comes with 6 large and 4 small. I thought it was all 10 large. I read on other products that the small have issues with watering. Well there is definitely an issue with the small! To fill it, it’s impossible under running water. I have to not only fill a gigantic cup with water to submerge small bulb but I have to stick something thin(I used a wire bread tie) to basically allow the pressure to back out creating air bulbs which allows for water to SLOWLY enter! So it takes roughly 2-3 mins each small bulb and then I have to basic waste the water once I’m done 🙄. Large bulbs take less than 20 seconds to fill.As for what works- they both seemingly work! Not sure how long it will be till I need to refill them. But one small one was already empty within 4 hours! All 10 were placed in the same container just on different levels. Their cute! I like the color and price! I will be needing at least 3-4 more large ones for the front yard plants that I will be planting in the next 2 weeks.
