The different sizes/shapes make some of these hard to use on a compact design. The material in the contact surface stripped after one use each. The place I live is rough on vehicles in terms of rust (ocean nearby and salt on roads in winter). Might be easier to keep these around longer in an area less plagued with rust.

I was installing a new exhaust on my Lexus RC F and the O2 sensors have a "heat sink" or "shield" over the base of the sensor (see pic #1). I first purchased the standard O2 22mm socket which worked on the stock exhaust to remove the O2 sensors. There was just enough room between the sub frame and the O2 sensors for me to get the socket over the O2 sensors and remove them. However, after installing the new exhaust, having bolted up and tightened everything, the last thing I had to do was to reinstall the O2 sensors. Unfortunately, this aftermarket exhaust has a slightly larger OD and is straight vs the OEM pipe which had a slight 10 degree bend moving it away from the subframe. I could not get the socket over the O2 sensors with the limited subframe clearance. I then purchased a second O2 socket with a larger slot and modified it by cutting it down shorter hoping it would work. It did not. That left me with one final O2 removal tool to try, the "offset deep well" socket (see Pic #2). This one worked perfectly. It was just deep enough to clear the heat sink and reach the bottom so I could tighten them up.

I’m a technician and I use these at work quite a lot. I’ve used them with a 3 foot breaker bar, pounded on them with a hammer, put them on seized sensors glowing cherry red and they get the job done every time. For as much abuse as they take, they still look new and other guys sometimes borrow them because they hold a strong grip. For the money, these have been great!

I bought this O2 sensor kit in hopes of replacing both my upstream and downstream O2 sensors. It did the job for my upstream as there was plenty of room but it was useless on my downstream as the space was too tight. I had to buy a 22mm combo wrench and cut the wire off. My vehicles lack of space is not the products fault but this review is to give a heads up for anybody that has tight spaces.
