The noise filter opens and closes okay. I was just able to squeeze a 7mm wide cord in and snap it shut.The first filter enabled me to hear the previous snowed reception in a crackly manner. The second one helped some more, but not fully. I'm unsure if the filters were placed in the right location and wish there were guidance instructions; minus one star for lack.Would buy again.
