The machining was good on this tool. I did have to drill the stud holes bigger to get it to fit on my studs.

The tool is a match for the tool that Jim's sells but for considerably less money. I have included pictures of a homemade handle that I pieced together from my local hardware store. 1/2 inch bolt,9 inches long, doesn't have to be grade 8. 1/2 inch nylon locking nut. The oring you will have to match up. I raided my old carburetor stash and found one that worked. My guess is you want a .5 od and thin. It has to go on the bolt and since there isn't a grove for it on the bolt it will overlap a thread. You want it to just hold the bolt in the tool. Thread the locking nut on the bold to cut threads in the nylon portion then reverse it so that the "washered" end is up against the tool. I have mine so that it goes almost all the way thru, about a 1/16" recessed. Put the seal on whatever end is correct and then the tool onto the studs and "lightly" tap the end of the handle until the tool hits the head.

This is a must-have tool! It's well built and allows for perfect install of the soft head pipe seals. Simply place the seal on the tool and push the tool into the recess - no fuss. You could use the head nuts to run it in but not needed - it just presses the seals right in.
